If you have a Bluetooth Headset connected to the Onn, then Volume will control Bluetooth Volume.
If you're just streaming (netflix, disney+, plex, sling, hulu, etc) pretty much any recent device is good enough for that. This is the cheapest device I've found that supports kodi without jumping through any hoops or worrying about storage. Chromecast built in is an extra plus.

settings > remotes & accessories > add accessory > and pair after you put your BT device in pairing mode.
Specifically, I have Shield's (various generations/types) on all my TV's, and I've long been on the hunt for a perfect remote. Don't get me started on the stock ones.
I have a couple of these [amazon.com], and while the price isn't bad, it doesn't do direct tv volume control (seems like any remote should though via CEC, no?).
I also have one newer FireTV remote, which works like I want it, but getting lots of these gets pricey and they tend to go to 'sleep' quite and take a hot minute to wake up. Annoying when you want to do, well, something, right away.
I'm looking for a remote that has these features:
The microphone works well, has volume and tv power (I think through CEC), has a little usb-a dongle included, no dedicated app buttons, not sure about silicone sleeves.

I bought the USB 3.0 hub with Ethernet if I want to upgrade something else in the future. I pulled that one from an old FireStick that I am replacing.
I am using a 32 or 64GB SanDisk USB 3.1 Flash Drive with the 3.0 hub for Internal Storage. Using the SMAYS with USB 2.0 and Flash Drive was too slow to use as Internal Storage. It slowed down app loading.

I am still putting the ONN through the paces, and am tempted to track down the tivo 4k just to say I tried them all especialy to see if its USB C port is usefull... I have way to manny of these things now and dont really have a use of another other than curiosity.....
