Yup! They taste like water. The only deal I would jump is offers from Wine.com. They sell Japanese whisky and usually have other coupons stackable with AMEX Offers.
Water? I've drank a ton of wine in my life, from 2 buck chuck and those other $3 bottles at that grocery store to over a $100 and I have never ever had a wine that tasted like water. Is that even a thing
best way to max this out? shipping usually kills these
Exactly! Shipping is usually $18 and to get free shipping you need to order something like $60 so what these deals end up being is $30 of $60 and for $60 you usually get 5 bottles of wine because $12 / bottle is usually the least expensive on the site . So it comes out to $6 a bottle which is not bad at all but definitely not free.
these wines in the package deals are the cheap wines. Besides, i still haven't got the credit from Amex. I was told my transaction is not part of the eligible charge to meet the $30.00 statement credit for the Amex offer.

This happened to me too. Amex is not being helpful and stating that Macy's Wine Shop put a promotion onto my order on their end which makes the offer invalid. For once, I clicked through a link and did not try to double-dip and could not get the offered honored. I suppose the wine being on sale without any type of promo code invalidates the offer. Stay away!

same here, they declined my $60 credit because there was a coupon in the order (which was automatically applied). Still trying to give away the crap wines I overpaid for

The Wine Insiders offer doesn't seem to require a minimum amount of bottles.
nvm, tried checking out and they require minimum 3 bottles per order
