Where did you get that it was $14 cheaper last BF? Searching through SD, it looks like this sale price today is lower than last year's BF sale price.

speed is slower than nvme.

I got the Gold P31 1TB for my new laptop recently (paid $115). 3500/3200 r/w in CrystalDiskMark and supposedly very efficient / low heat. Great deal for $104.

Looks like the 2TB ver is oos and not available to backorder. My dad would have liked one.

That's correct. P31 was around $120+ typically and I had purchased S31 for $84 plus taxes last December, and now slightly cheaper with the extra 5% off coupon.
