So its a individual opinion. Deal can come from tmobile in costco where you might get $650 on trade in of an iphone and getting an iphone on full price which will be $50 less than msrp. But the question is if 8+ will be eligible or they might ask iphone x or higher.

So either you gamble tmobile/costco comes back with that offer for thanksgiving or else if you feel you getting good buck for your old devices you can proceed with this deal as well. Also the deal of costco i referred they need adding a line where as this deal needs no new line. So compare all these pro's and con and then decide.

Visited one of bestbuy local stores in my area. I was told by them that this offer is valid for in store pickup only only if they carry certain models / colors. The trade in offer can not be applied to online ordering if the local store does not have them in stock. Not sure other people have the same experience?

Can I pay off for the device, cancel my service ? Get it unlocked? I don't want to pay expensive T-Mobile monthly fee just for single line. Any ideas?

This in store pick up is totally hit or miss. I didn't want my new phone box opened and seal broken but this one mobile rep on the side was insisting it's policy. "We need to make sure the phone works." But after he says "it might take a hour to transition over." I told him I'll take my chances but he still insisted. Fortunately they were super swamped and the store rep that was actually helping didn't really care. I just hustled out with the unopened boxes before the other guy stopped me.

I'm thinking about picking up a 13 Pro and either trading in my current 12 Pro Max or 12 (still in box).

1. Better to trade in Max for $250 more? The 12 is a spare, never used...I think I traded in an old 8 or 11 to T Mobile for a free (well, I paid tax) last year.

2. Apple is offering $790 + $200 credit on T-Mobile...isn't that better?

I'd probably trade in the used phone and sell the new one if you're trying to get rid of both. Apples deal is better in some cases depending on the phone but the extra $200 is through bill credits

The Apple deal is only worth it if you are already on a Magenta Max plan since they make you switch. My plan is basically the same thing but half the price so BestBuy is a much better deal.

So if you don't see "Add To Cart" and see something like "See Details", try the app. Ordered the last Pro for my wife and the mini for me. Limited stock folks!

Any way to take advantage of this as a Sprint (now T-mobile) customer? I just got the 13 pro and traded in my X at best buy a couple of days ago.. they only gave me $190 for the trade in and said I wasn't eligible for the t-mobile promos because I was a "sprint" customer... worst of all, I paid full price for the phone, and it's still locked to t-mobile (!) AND they charged my account a $30 "upgrade" fee?? Anything I can do at this point? Or am I SOL?

First I also thought it may be phishing call and was careful in giving any PI details but it was a legit verification call and he just verified my orders and no personal information asked. My employer keeps training us on phishing emails so that helped.
But thanks for the inputs, we should never give Social, DL etc. details easily on phone unless 100% sure.
