When did I say that you can't hear your surrounding? Open back headphones 100 percent leak audio it's literally part of their design unless you are playing sounds at extremely low levels. I'm not saying they will sound like boombox speakers to other people, but it can definitely annoy roommates or if you are wearing them outside.
Wired>wireless for many reasons

So I use these for gaming and I use them all day long on calls for meetings. Numerous times have been asked what I used for headset as the mic is really nice. Absolutely love them, would recommend to anyone.

Comes with two different sets of headphone cushions one being soft and the other being like a pleather or something. Just wear whatever is most comfortable.

Sound is GREAT for the price point, not a ton of audio leak that I know of. Good for meetings, games, or music. Customizable audio output if using software.

Mic quality is excellent and if using the Logitech software it's highly customizable in terms of adjusting quality. As I had mentioned, many colleagues ask "what headset are you using?".

They are a little heavier than I'd like but it doesn't bother me, they feel like good quality build.

Why wireless vs wired? In most cases anything wired is going to be better. Just plain and simple. Google it if you need help deciding. I prefer to be connected->wired.

I bought them at full price, and would buy again at full price. It's a good quality headset that I'll hopefully use until it dies.

**One thing to note**
If using a MacBook with M series proc, there are some quirks with the software provided by Logitech. It's intel based software so it doesn't play as nice. With that being said if I use it with Mac with M series proc, I don't use the usb (audio delays with mic and speaking. I've got an open case with Logitech.)

Intel based MacBooks do not have any issues.

With Windows 10/11 usb audio with software works perfect.

Cheers

Amazon reviews seem to have a decent amount indicating breakage, mainly at the joint from the cup supports to the headband it appears. Kinda worries me.
Yup thats where my Logitech headset broke. Seems to be a common design problem across logitech headsets. Great headset though

I am on my third pair. Right ear died quickly on the first, second one right ear was DOA. Third one has held up though.

Wrong, that's not how open back works, you hear your outside surrounding more than closed ones. People never hear the audio from my open back headphones...

I AM NOT spending $96 for a wired headset. Are people that desperate?
Desperate for what, they are superior in everyway minus the wireless part. Mic is better, latency is better

I have the wireless version, IMO unless you specifically need wireless (in my case dogs, furniture, etc) you should get these. I hated the pads they came with and I tried a few 3rd party pads. I ended up sending the pads back as they sucked too. I went into my storage and tried the ZMF oval pads and they fit and make the headset extremely comfortable.

The wireless mic absolutely sucks, just watch a review on it, it's hilariously bad. As far as sound goes....I enjoy it with the ZMF pads they're very isolating.

The problem with you is that you DIDN'T say that you can hear your surroundings. That is the biggest benefit and DIFFERENCE of open back vs closed. What you're saying is useless, like every other old on-ear 'phones that bleed audio to everyone. Basic info. I use open back Sennheisers (studio type w no mic and a gamer one w mic) with a mixamp/go xlr at normal volumes they don't "leak", so before you compare stop using cheap hardware to claim facts about it. You probably have tinnitus if your audio is that loud for everyone to hear anyway...you and the two morons that down thumbed me...
This is also not true, the biggest advantage of open back is that it doesn't have walls in front of the driver so it changes the acoustic profile of a headphones and you get a more natural sound and a wider soundstage. The fact that you can listen to things happening around you is benefit to some but not everyone. He asked a question regarding the Phillips headphones which I do have and used extensively, not any Sennheisers or other "cheap hardware". I highly doubt you actually have open back headphones now you absolute monkey, anyone that actually uses them knows that they leak much higher then any other "old on-ear phones".

OK, 1 I like the open back idea as if my dogs are fighting next to me, It's nice to hear.
But What is the best $200 wired headset for gaming? Or what a $100 headset and $100 dac?
I don't need a mic.

I have these for. Mic is really great for others listening to me. Sound is ok but nothing crazy. Not for bass at least. I'm looking for better audio headphones and getting mic separately now.

I bought these around this price and tried them out just last month, and I returned them less than two days later (did not even care to try them for any longer than that). The build quality was OK, but the headset itself was not particularly comfortable to me compared to my Sennheisers, Arctis 7's, or even my Razer Blacksharks.

Additionally, I could never get the microphone to work in any way, despite trying this headset on like 4 different machines. When trying to fix and troubleshot online, it seems to be a relatively known, longstanding, and common driver/G-Hub initialization issue with people reporting mixed results on being able to resolve (Examples: https://www.reddit.com/r/Logitech...oblem_fix/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/clhet0/g_pro_x_mic_not_working/) [reddit.com].

Normally, I am a big fan of Logitech stuff, but these were particularly disappointing, especially given the premium price point and driver/software issues. It should not be this challenging to get your microphone to work on a simple "plug and play" wired USB headset like this.
