CVS is one of the few places that take PayPal QR codes as payment. It's been recommended to use self checkout, if possible. Once you add the gift card, DO NOT click any payment method on the self checkout terminal. Instead, scan your PayPal QR code like you are buying something. Then it will allow you to checkout and pay with PayPal.
If it does indeed stack with the 2% back at drug stores as the other thread suggests, that's 11% back on up to $1500.

The one way to make this happen is to use Paypal at CVS or Walgreens and buy Apple gift cards for him to buy the Macbook Pro.
Of course, if he lived near a Giant Eagle he can use Paypal to buy Apple gift cards to buy the Macbook Pro.
There is may be some way to use pay using Paypal with a gas app and buy Apple gift cards.
I have a chase freedom, didn't work for me. I see the comment above mentioned flex version of the card. oh well, would'a been nice.

for some people, Visa vs Mastercard matters.
I personally have both (had an OG Freedom, and product changed a Sapphire Preferred to Freedom Flex), which gives me the ability to earn 5x points on up to $3000 quarterly.

Exact ditto for me. Not sure what is wrong and how to rectify? If you got an answer please post back. Thanks.
The cashier scanned the back of my driver's license.
I think this is standard procedure for purchases over $200.
I asked and was told that $200 is the limit on self-checkout of gift card.
I did not ask and did not try Paypal at self-checkout.
I had the Paypal open and chose the Pay tab.
This worked flawlessly.
Chase sent an email acknowledging that I used Paypal at CVS #### $505.95

Also can I just use regular checkout and not self checkout?
