In terms of internal specs I mean. Is it just the 16 gb ram? I don't need touchscreen so if that's all, I could just stick with the HP and get a 8 gb stick
this model is comparable with the Dell Inspiron 15 Touch Laptop (in terms of screen size, memory and hard drive upgradability, and portability.)

As for memory, any SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 stick pair (for duel channel) should do:

"""Ditto. I bought a Flex 3 with i7 in 2015 and have had the hinge break three times. I bought the i7 because I wanted the processor to stand the rest of time, which it mostly has. I can get close to an hour out of the battery too. The hinge is on its last legs now, with the lid separating from the monitor. Because of this, the keyboard and touchpad are sometimes not responding as well.
I'm looking for a new 14 inch laptop with a powerful processor again this BF. This deal is tempting but I'm going to pass."""

the inclusion of two usb-c with DP and PD is very good. the hdmi may only be 1.4b but at least the two usb-c with DP and PD would still give you two 4K60hz outputs. However since there does not seem to be a traditional barrel connector, you have to use one of these two usb-c to connect your power brick. So that means unless you carry usb-c hub with you, you are down to one 4K60hz output on the go via the Displayport function over the other remaining usb-c. So you do have a bit less flexibility also because without that HDMI 2.0, you might not be able to connect to 4K monitors or TV that has no displayport input.
I also notice that the lenovo has an included RJ-45 ethernet port, which is great if you have to use one frequently. I do have to use it all the time at work since our secure faster internet is avail over LAN only and the much slower non secure wifi is for guests. But you can buy a cheap usb-RJ45 adapter (https://www.amazon.com/-/es/dp/B0...ct_details) that has extra usb ports for about $20 or less for the HP so that is not that great of an advantage for the lenovo.
The ram upgradability is def much better for the HP since lenovo only have one slot available
If you want a 14 inch size and/or touchscreen, then you don't have any choice but to go with the lenovo.
I really wish it was brighter. I tend to take my laptop outside a lot on the patio.
NO KEYBOARD BACKLIT ;(
I guess WM wised up and decide to not make the same mistake of including backlit keys from last yr on earlier models....
Its going back. oh well....

The box does say model 15-eh1070wm. So I am wondering if we are having multiple builts! I think we need more people to buy and find out....
