Good luck actually getting it if you order from dot com. Some of us are still in "delayed" status without shipping/tracking updates on $1000 PCs ordered at the beginning of the month. I'm not posting this to bash Walmart, I'm just posting this to open some eyes to supply/shipping issues, Walmart's selling practices (selling inventory they don't have), and to suggest finding one in-store if at all possible if you really want one.

Pulled the trigger. Will pick it up tomorrow. Will check if it has a backlit kb or not. If it has, will keep it … and will order a 16X2 RAM. Any recommendations for RAM for this laptop + how can one open the laptop and install the RAM? Thanks

My experience with lenovo was bad with fast degrading battery and heat.
Perhaps issues with the hinges as well (though I don't know if that is the case with these models as well!) … that is why decided to return the Costco Lenovo and am getting this one instead.

SlickTerrier357What is the main difference between this laptop and the one here: https://slickdeals.net/f/15349900-lenovo-thinkbook-15-g3-14-g3-fhd-ips-touch-ryzen-7-5700u-16gb-ddr4...

In terms of internal specs I mean. Is it just the 16 gb ram? I don't need touchscreen so if that's all, I could just stick with the HP and get a 8 gb stick
That one has anti-glare 300 nits screen, limited memory expansion (8 GB soldered, max. 40 (8+32), ; this one can max out at 64 GB as per the post).

what's wrong with the hinges...? that laptop has long hinge across majority of the laptop edge (unlike some other Lenovo models that have two inch-long hinges on left and right side).

Please let us know how the screen looks...

this model is comparable with the Dell Inspiron 15 Touch Laptop (in terms of screen size, memory and hard drive upgradability, and portability.)

As for memory, any SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 stick pair (for duel channel) should do:

You mean the Lenovo Costco $600 16GB RAM laptop? Yes, even though it has 1 long hinge, many users have complained of it breaking after few months … an issue which is neither covered by Costco nor by Lenovo guarantee.

"""Ditto. I bought a Flex 3 with i7 in 2015 and have had the hinge break three times. I bought the i7 because I wanted the processor to stand the rest of time, which it mostly has. I can get close to an hour out of the battery too. The hinge is on its last legs now, with the lid separating from the monitor. Because of this, the keyboard and touchpad are sometimes not responding as well.

I'm looking for a new 14 inch laptop with a powerful processor again this BF. This deal is tempting but I'm going to pass."""

I think Matthew-Deals-Hunter was referring to the deals from Lenovo directly. But yes, those laptops have a long hinges.

The lenovo is not bad in term of spec. But the price is too high

the inclusion of two usb-c with DP and PD is very good. the hdmi may only be 1.4b but at least the two usb-c with DP and PD would still give you two 4K60hz outputs. However since there does not seem to be a traditional barrel connector, you have to use one of these two usb-c to connect your power brick. So that means unless you carry usb-c hub with you, you are down to one 4K60hz output on the go via the Displayport function over the other remaining usb-c. So you do have a bit less flexibility also because without that HDMI 2.0, you might not be able to connect to 4K monitors or TV that has no displayport input.

I also notice that the lenovo has an included RJ-45 ethernet port, which is great if you have to use one frequently. I do have to use it all the time at work since our secure faster internet is avail over LAN only and the much slower non secure wifi is for guests. But you can buy a cheap usb-RJ45 adapter (https://www.amazon.com/-/es/dp/B0...ct_details) that has extra usb ports for about $20 or less for the HP so that is not that great of an advantage for the lenovo.

The ram upgradability is def much better for the HP since lenovo only have one slot available

If you want a 14 inch size and/or touchscreen, then you don't have any choice but to go with the lenovo.

This would be good if you could download a better screen… You know, the one actual part that you need to be decent?…

Would this be a decent cheap video editor for a non professional if I added more ram?

I really wish it was brighter. I tend to take my laptop outside a lot on the patio.

You should pick it up and also verify this is the case. It could be just mine.
Also the wifi card on mine is NOT intel AX200 but the Realtek RTL8852AE. This is Wifi 6 and BT5.2 so I guess it's not bad, but a lot of people might prefer intel AX200. Also feel a little misleading by WM description!
The box does say model 15-eh1070wm. So I am wondering if we are having multiple builts! I think we need more people to buy and find out....
