Seriously, people abuse costco policy like this is why we cant never have nice thing. You return a 4 years old electronics, how desperate are you?. Stay out of my beloved costco please.
Come on. You returned what you bought 4 years ago and are proud of it?
Go with the Asus. I've tried both and got much better coverage from the Zen.

On another note, apparently Netgear makes you pay for tech support after 90 days to actually use your warranty. That was a no go for me.

I'm returning it. I get random dropped packets between the satellites and Router and random reboots. Apparently they can't get their shit together with firmware. Works great other than the packet loss

The 90day tech support doesn't apply to Costco members and Costco purchase. Apparently Costco paired up with Netgear to offer 24/7, 1 year technical support. It's mentioned on the product box. Dedicated line is 1.888.228.4719

Additionally don't forget mfg warranty extension (not technical support) by purchasing with Costco credit card.

I grabbed a couple of these for above reasons, but have yet to install!

Found this on Costco website in the product description..
23/7 dedicated technical support for Costco members
8882284719
Does it mean we have longer technical support?

Yes. It appears to be 1yr.
Details listed on box specifically.
I'm not sure if person seeking support has to be Costco member... Like if you give as gift to non Costco member and they request support.

Would RBK752 be sufficient for a two level 3000 sq ft home? Is there any advantage of RBK753 over RBK752 other than better coverage (I understand that 753 has 1 extra satellite).

Amazon has a great deal on RBK752 $329 + 10% cashback using the Amazon prime card. So, effectively there is $50 difference b/w RBK752 and RBK753

So you're paying $150/each for 2 pack vs $116.67/each in a 3 pack. It all depends on if that last node would benefit you, which greatly depends on your home (layout and material). You should be able to easily sell the 3rd one for more than $50 though.

I am returning mine. Completed the setup steps, then the app can't find the Orbi. The app/phone is connected to it via WIFI, but the app can't find the Orbi to finish the setup. No internet. I reset it and start over, the same same.

I had this issue as well. I had to reset it a couple of times and manually download the firmware update beforehand and hook directly to the router and it finally let me in the web admin page and once I was able to upgrade the firmware everything has been solid.

I have the original Google Wi-Fi mesh router (3-pack) and it works fine, but wondering if the Orbi will produce better results on my 1 GB internet speed at home? I don't want to have something slower in the end.

We just bought these. It is much better for us than the google mesh. It improved our speed and takes advantage of the 1GB speeds we pay for!

Using the app for setup was a total pain. This is my second Orbi and as usual using the phone app completely sucks. I had to reset it and just used my laptop to finish setup. Must faster and easier than using the stupid app for initial setup.

I can notice right away it's definitely much faster than the rbr20 it's replacing.

Are you able to separate 2.4 and 5ghz into separate SSID?

Nope. You can select 2.4 only or 5 only or both. All use the same SSID. No way to seperate.

Thanks for the tip, finally set it up via laptop/web admin. Had a few drop connections in the couple of hours, but it all seem good now. I guess will keep it and see how it goes.

First of all I bought this from Costco store and was shocked to see the packaging, essentially there is no packaging. 3 routers in a plastic bag and Costco just put them in a broken box I took to checkout. Didn't come packaged! Shocking! But I guess Costco is trying really hard to bring price down?

Second of all I am looking for suggestion on what external hdd can I connect to these to have remote disk accessible from all machines in home. Thanks Much!
