FYI this deal is hackable. If you don't need either the tool or battery kit you can select in store pickup for the one you want and ship to home for the one you don't.

After you place the order you can cancel the ship to home through the home depot website and you get your tool for whatever price it shows.

The router comes out to $99.50 if you hack it

I go to this deal and it's $219, am I doing something wrong? I do live in Hawaii if that might be why. I'm thinking of just getting the jigsaw using the hack, but all I have is (2) 3Ah at home already. Are those enough to power it?

If you want just the batteries ..... home depot offers a free 6amh flexvolt battery as the extra tool. Gives you 3 batteries total for about $12.50 per amh Big Grin

Has anybody seen The two free tool deal or the three free tool deal that's running with the DeWalt promotion right now. I go on the website to order it but it doesn't give me the option to pick the tools but clearly states that you receive these free tools with purchase

Yeah, It's a pretty good deal if you're in the market for batteries and great deal if you're in for a tool. If you hack the deal for the Flex volt battery, it seems like a pretty hot deal, but I'm not sure how that Flexvolt compares to the XR battery.

6Ah Battery is $116, 4Ah is also $116 ($232 total). So you're already ahead a smidge on batteries alone. I often see battery deals that are more YMMV than anything. Most tool deals offer 2Ah batteries, which are probably fine for some tools, but as tests have shown (project farm), higher Ah tend to increase the performance of the tool. The exception was the Sawsall, which cut slower due to blade moving too fast to cut effectively. I think every other tool saw a performance increase, not to mention it'll last longer between charges.

I have the jigsaw and until recently the 3Ah battery was the biggest one I had. The jigsaw works great for me with the 3Ah battery (and even with the 2Ah battery) for making a few cuts here and there on some of my projects.

If you are going to be using it heavily then I would worry a bit about runtime with the lower amperage batteries, but like I said, for making a few cuts here and there when it's not the primary saw for a project you'll do just fine with those batteries.

Does HomeDepot have correct photo to 4AH battery? I found other websites have smaller size of 4AH battery than Home Depot, which is not premium XR type.

It looks like Home Depot pictures are inconsistent. In the main picture of the whole set that shows the bag and two batteries it shows the smaller 4Ah battery, but in the closeup if the 4Ah battery alone it shows the larger 4Ah battery.

I just purchased this from my local central florida Home Depot today and I can say that I got the larger battery. The 4Ah battery I got is pretty much identical in size to the 5Ah batteries that I already have. My battery does have a 2021 date stamped on it, so it doesn't look like it was old stock or anything.
