What's the "$5 Off Storewide" or rather where can it be found? Don't see it in my Target Circle.

Does not support Windows Hello for windows login or FIDO authentication. I bet they are trying to dump these before people realize that. You can pick up the Lenovo 500 WC for cheaper and it supports Window Hello.

Interesting .. does it require LiDAR or something for mapping? Makes sense though as to part of the reason for all these sales haha

Edit: "To set up facial recognition, Windows shoots 3D near-infrared picture of your face. It takes into account objects like hair and glasses, so you may need to take multiple pictures of yourself to calibrate the recognition mechanism."

As others have mentioned this webcam has been around for a while now (still one of the best picture quality / mic) but doesn't include the needed tech to support Windows Hello. Works with Mac though.

This is a great webcam…high quality video. Been using for zoom and teams calls for a few months now on my Mac and would recommend.

The Lenovo 500 does not have a built in microphone, which may be a deal breaker for most people.

I would have gotten this at the start of the pandemic, but because the prices were absolutely ridiculous, I wound up hacking together an Xbox one kinect (ie kinect v2) with a USB 3.0 cable and soldering the leads on from a power supply I bought on eBay for a couple bucks. If you are running windows, it's an impressive webcam (also works with Windows Hello, and mic clarity is very good). Cost wound up being about $40 for all the parts(including the kinect), and it was a half an hour to disassemble and solder the power cable to the pcb. Another twenty minutes to download the kinect sdk from the Microsoft store. If you have a kinect sitting idle and feel less motivated, you can just buy a special power adapter like this https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07JH...UTF8&psc=1

Which some people might actually prefer. In my previous setup I used Samson usb mic. With this web cam I wouldn't have to change my audio inputs. Just one mic to take care.
