I have a PS5 disc edition, but I can't help to still feel like I'd come to regret letting go of my PS4 Pro.
Using remote play on the PS4 to access the PS5 in another room is nice. Also can play online multiplayer games locally, but that requires at least one friend, so that does me no good. lol
One big benefit to having both is when you have kids, you can give them access to your digital games on the PS4 and even allow them to play online using your ps plus account at the same time you're on the PS5. I didn't realize this was an option but I'm really happy with it. My daughter plays fortnite with her friends a lot, and previously she was using my account to do it. Now she's able to use her own and I can play the PS5 without kicking her off.

I didn't. I sold mine locally for $275-$280 since I wasn't using it anymore. Unless you're into modding your system then there's no point in keeping it around.

Yeah, I haven't pissed around with modding since my PS2 days. I've never even considered messing with the PS4. I'd be too worried I'd brick it or end up banned from PSN inadvertently.
You really don't think I'd regret it? Everything seems to be backwards compatible on the PS5 so far. I just have a pretty extensive PS4 library, both physical and digital.

Fair enough. I initially thought I would miss it, but I gave it to my wife since I didn't use it anymore. I received that offer for it, and I took the funds and bought her a PS5. For the ten or so games you can't play on it, you won't miss them. I wish Sony was more upfront regarding their Backwards Compatibility during the lead up to launch. I would've pre-ordered the system right away. The SSD, graphics, and improvement to the network make the PS4 hard to go back to.

Yeah, the friend requirement eliminates that as an option for me as well. Haha. I do all my gaming (and sleep) in my living room where my 65" 4K set is, so there wouldn't even be a time where I'd want to remote play from the bedroom.
