OD/OM has these for $60 (Item # 5719134 WDBRPG5000ANC-WRSN) and you can pick them up in store, so they wont come in a crushed up plasic bag 3 weeks later.. This is why you buy the free after rewards batteries.. Orders over $45 ships free next buisness day.. Some things to concider when you buy from this seller.

Not a bad deal!

Personally, I'll wait for a Hynix P31 to be on sale - it runs really cool. BF is just around the corner.

How come Hynix doesn't sell 2TB P31s or gen 4 consumer drives? Seems weird for a leading manufacturer.

They do sell 2TB P31s:
https://www.amazon.com/SK-hynix-I...B099RHVB42

Gen 4 is fast, but also heat producing. Hynix uses their own controllers, so they seem to lag, but stay cool at the same time.

Let's face it, it was almost a wash between SATA & Gen3 in terms of overall observed system performance, and now with Gen4 vs Gen3 it's fully imperceptible. Other than some hardware @ssholes demanding Gen4 (such as PS5!).

Thanks, looks too new to be on Newegg. And I see none of any size sold by Newegg on their site, just third party.

Reviews show it's faster (almost double in some tests) and uses half the power of the WD SN750. I think I will buy the P31 next time.
