If you just need a basic shop vac, it's still a good deal, but don't think you're getting their regular 16G shop vac for half price.
Their Black Friday specials officially start tomorrow, but if anyone has the ad now, it would be a great thing to post.

FYI if you're looking in store, it was actually priced wrong in the aisle with other shop-vac's.. but in the front of the store with other promo items there were quite a few with the 49.88 pricing.

Just got back from my local Home Depot - can confirm deal is still live and in store – Rang up as $49.88 in store – they're not on display at my local Home Depot, had to get an employee to look it up and forklift it off a pallet way above on a shelf. Will echo speculation that this is a Black Friday deal that Home Depot is probably prepping for but not yet active on their website; considering that this specific product is not normally in the Rigid line up of wet/dry vacs – seems like it's an updated, NXT version of the Ridgid WD1640 specific for Black Friday - https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/wd1640

If your store says they have them in stock and you're not seeing them in store, you'll have to find an employee and have them look up the SKU and find it for you - my local Home depot didn't have any on display; they were packed away in a shelf and had to get a forklift to bring them down.
edit: 50/50 on whether or not this is a Black Friday specific model - the Home Depot product page for the HD1640 actually has a legit video commercial for it - which seems like great lengths just for a one off. Would speculate this is an update to the WD1640 and is so new that Ridgid themselves haven't had a chance to refresh their own line up page on their website.
