i will say one thing about wen engines is that my 3200 psi power washer sat idle for about 3 years after using it initially for about 20 hours the first 3 days that i had it. then a couple of weeks ago although what gas was left in it had evaporated over the years and it went thru this past years very harsh winter cold, after putting new fresh gas in it it started right up!

The reviews are mostly good. But, I will recommend watching the YouTube videos and reading the negative reviews from Home Depot. It looks like some people got defective units. Rather than buy this and save it for a rainy day, I recommend running it and testing it as soon as you get it to take care of any issues. Although it has a 2-year warranty, the company will want you to send this back to them, which at 65 lb, will cost about $100 to ship back. I think I will pay the few extra dollars and purchase it from the Home Depot so I can return it to a store if I have issues with it. It looks like a good generator for the most part. From the YouTube videos, it is not as quiet as I would have expected.

This is a slightly better deal than the current posted $404 sale. No tax and feee shipping through WEN = $393 total shipped. Great deal!

As someone who lost power for 5 days and almost froze during the Texas snow storms, this is cheap piece of mind. Can easily run all my essentials + a space heater to keep us warm. Worth every penny.

Are there comparable options that include propane? Even in Texas, supply chain/grid disruptions can make you consider solar, as well as propane etc..

Nice generator bought it in Spring 2020. Doesn't take up too much space and runs great. Already had to use it 3 times since I got it. Easily runs my two fridges, some lights and a fan when power goes out.

That's the least efficient way to heat yourself. You lost 80% energy by converting to electric and then space heater. Might as week get a propane heater and a smaller generator for electronics

I was also in the snowstorm that the quoted was in. I was trying to prepare ahead for next year and was looking into a propane heater but was concerned about carbon monoxide buildup indoors, and for obvious reasons don't want to crack a window.

I saw some that were "indoor use" but was still worried.
