Best way to get 1 drive is to get 15% credit for recycled storage and pay for the drive using a BB gift card purchased with the 10% off virtual Visa from last week or Chase 10% offer.

Should be $153.
Thanks for posting that one!. Nice. I have a Chase card that has the 10% off and I definitely have an old hard drive kicking around here.

Don't see at the link but is there a list of eligible devices.
Nope the SD thread on this is also head scratching on that. I was able to get a 12TB by trading in some old internal drive. No questions

Western Digital is not a dependable hard drive. I have had plenty to lock up on me.
Seagate is POS drives. I've had 4-5 drives start clicking and grinding and then FAIL. I ONLY use WD these days and have zero FAILS in last 5 years plus super quiet.

How does the 15% off when recycling an old harddrive work? Would I be able to get that discount if I buy in-store tomorrow, and if they don't have it in stock, would I be able to order it through them in-store and still get the 15% off?
I just did the recycle, $30 off, so $170 plus tax. I may recycle another flash drive so I have the 15% off coupon going into Black Friday.

What other brands is more reliable at this capacity? Don't tell me seagate
I now have 4 14TB easystore, from a few months to two years old, they are work fine.

But I suggest to keep the box in case you need to file a warranty replacement in the future

I'll take the bet that it doesn't. Too many variables this year.
I don't think anyone will buy 16gb for $200.

In for three! I just bought 2 x 12tb! Oh well, should have waited. Now I have too many hard drives. At least I am prepared for the supply shortage coming.

Seagate is far superior to WD. The vast majority of drives in Data centers use Seagate. Some data center phased out WD drives.

In the case of 14tb external drives, Seagate is better. Seagate drive are faster (7200rpm) and they are actually server drives.

IronWolf drives are awesome, and the go-to drives for people running centers

Can't justify the price for a home setup lol
