Is this more or just as reliable as the one in the Costco deal? https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/15350722 (I am aware that's almost half the capacity, just concerned about reliability and performance)
Reliability should be comparable, HOWEVER if you use 2 drives the failure rate increases (you are rolling the dice two times instead once over time). That is assuming you aren't using them in a redundant setup.

Performance wise, the single 14TB will perform better than a single 8TB (generally speaking given the same RPM and platter density) because the higher capacity will either have more platters/heads (so it can read more per revolution) or a higher density of data on a platter (again more data per revolution.)

It's hard to answer your question specifically since you didn't include your intent or architecture.

Which model # should we be looking at?
I think all 14tb+ external drives are exos. Bought 4 last year BF (2) and December (2) and it was all exos. I only buy WD if hd space run out.

It's gonna be a white label red drive
Most likely. That's what was in the 12's from the newegg deal a week or so ago.

The 15% trade in is only for WD/Sandisk brand drives correct?

Also are the credit card offers (chase freedom/flex) and citi targeted only? I don't see any offers for any citi card or chase (freedom and freedom flex).

Seagate is far superior to WD. The vast majority of drives in Data centers use Seagate. Some data center phased out WD drives.

In the case of 14tb external drives, Seagate is better. Seagate drive are faster (7200rpm) and they are actually server drives.
Wow, how did you get the hard driven inventory for more than 50% of data centers. That's amazing data! Or, maybe you made it up?

You statement is true for Backblaze however as they provide information publicly.

My store tried to play games saying that the 15% off recycling trade-in doesn't apply to sales then were pretending that they couldn't find the recycling trade-in offer. I think once they saw how much I spent this year they stopped playing games. Traded in a late 1990s IBM Deathstar, got my coupon printout, ignored what the manager said and coupon applied without issue. They had two behind some 8TB when store opened but I left the 2nd for someone else.

Was $419.99 (yeah right)
$220 (should say $199.99 but math came out right)
-$30 hrd dr cpn bndl 1
-$25 best buy rewards
subtotal $144.99 before tax

It is white label. Many people think it is rebranded red lable. Keep in mind WD red label have different designation. Standard red lable are not CMS drives. Standard red labe are archives drives.

WD recently got successfully sueded in Canada for this. Google it.

I just did the recycle, $30 off, so $170 plus tax. I may recycle another flash drive so I have the 15% off coupon going into Black Friday.
The 15% is a great deal

If I have multiple trade-in drives, can I get multiple coupons? I want to get a total of 4 of these 14tb drives.

yes if you open up the case and take the drive out. It's called "shuking"
