I searched and could not find any other post under Verizon or phones, or Costco, so hopefully it is not a repost.

I was in Costco to switch to Verizon and saw a new deal that just started on the 10/28.
If you switch to Verizon and bring your own device, you are eligible for a gift card between $350 and $500.

The promotion runs from 10/28/21 to 12/31/21.

If you get one of the Premium (Do More, Play More or Get More) Unlimited plans, you get the $500 gift card.
If you get one of the cheaper unlimited plans such as the 55+, Just Kids, etc, then you get the $350 gift card.

Each line you bring over is eligible. I brought 4 lines over so I will be getting $2000 in Verizon gift cards. Max of 5 offers per account ($2500)

Each line/IMEI must be active for 45 days. Afterwards, you can take advantage of any promotions to upgrade to a new phone. This would also allow upgrades during the holiday period of mid December.

You must submit the claim within 30 days.

You will receive the gift card within 8 weeks after submitting the claim.

If you do not want to stay with Verizon, you probably could sell the gift card, unless they somehow link it to the account. It is unclear if you can use the gift card for phones/devices, or just for service.

If you want to stay with Verizon, after the 45 days, you can downgrade to a cheaper plan. With 4 lines, my cost would be $45 plus tax for the Play More Unlimited, and my kids would get the Just Kids for $35 plus tax. Assuming 2 months of the higher plans, and then the cheaper plans after that, we will be getting service for free for over 10 months!

If you like your phone, and are bringing over multiple lines, this is an unbelievable deal.

$115 cashback terms state. Does what I underlined exclude this deal?

When I sign up, I sign up for the Do More Unlimited plan and get $500. Is it okay to change to the Start Unlimited plan after a few months? If yes, when can I make the change?

For Verizon overseas charge of $10 per day, did you purchase TravelPass or something? If so, what would happen without the pass, leaving the phone turned on while travelling overseas?
If you do not turn-on your phone, there is no charge. If you plan to use the phone for couple of days, you need to make sure to turn off the phone for the rest of the travel days. It will only charge you for the days you either used data or minutes (made or received phone call or accessed data).

Those who switched to Verizon, how long does it take to receive the SIM card from Verizon? Does the porting initiates only after you put the Verizon sim?

If any one switched from AT&T still with installment plan to be paid off, do you have to pay-off it first before switching (this question is because the phone need to be unlocked from AT&T to use with Verizon sim) ?
Once you pay-off devices at AT&T, how long does it take to get the phones unlocked?

What happens if I keep the phone turned on while traveling overseas for a months or so, placing & receiving WiFi calls only, but nothing else, no data usage, etc?

Wow, how can anyone use Verizon knowing they are getting this badly burned for service? They are offering $500 a line rebate? They are robbing everyone blind and yet people still pay them extorsion prices for their phone service. Wake up people!
Yes, it's a trap reminds me I need to get out too. Back when it was tiered I payed exorbitant overages so finally went with the new plans. Imagine having to wait 15 minutes to log into your account when a transaction gets a fraud alert to find out why the card isn't taking the charge while everyone looks at you like you broke that your gonna swipe something you don't have funds for when you could buy 10 times what your buying. Throttle is so embarrassing.

Planning to switch my 5 T-mobile lines to Verizon BYOD.
If I do this online, then
1) Do they charge for the sim cards?
2) Is there any credit check for byod? If yes, then would it be hard or soft?
3) Is there any activation charges?
4) Looks like slickdeal is not giving any cashback on the verizon byod. Any other option to earn cashbacks?

Thanks.

I see that there is a 12 month commitment. What I can't find is how long must you have been a non-Verizon member to take advantage of this offer. I switched to T-Mobile about 4 months ago from Verizon. Verizon's terms and conditions are not easy to find.
You should probably be good. If you switch back within 60 days they call it a win back internally. Outside of that you should be a "new customer"

So I added a line online and brought my own device. Are they sending me a sim card? VZW website is so crappy it's embarrassing. I basically got an email saying I bought my own phone for $0 and there's no other details on what I'm supposed to do. Super unclear...

As per T&C at website:

....
We reserve the right to charge the amount of the Verizon Gift Card to your Verizon Wireless account if service is canceled within 12 months or change your price plan from an eligible unlimited plan
.....
Is this true for the $150 new Verizon customer discount that Costco is offering if you buy a device at a discounted price (no monthly payment plan) ?

i.e. Do we have to pay back the $150 if we cancel the Verizon service after getting the $150 gift card and paying off the phone, possibly after 3 months ?
Didn't see any mention about it on Costco / Verizon website, unless I missed it.

About to jump on this, but wanted to clarify some things. Hopefully someone who has gone through this particular promotion can chime in. I don't see anything in the wording about having to port your number in. I see in the previous promo for $650 that port in was specifically mentioned in the deal details. Has anyone had success getting the $500 promo without porting in? Also, two of my lines are with verizon prepaid right now. Any issues with that? It seems like from the details, the only requirement is to start new lines and keep the device active for 45 days. Just want to make sure since I would have $2500 on the line. I tried asking through verizon chat, but not sure if I really trust what they told me.

I have screenshots of my cart and completed order for an add-a-line for $0 with a $500 card offer in the cart with a new phone number.
