No problem I see folks often inquiring about co-op & online multiplayer under game posts, so figured it'd help. Thanks!
I really wanted to like Owlboy, but it eventually lost me (very similar to my experience with Monster Boy which is also on sale). For those who haven't played it, it's a Metroidvania but neither the story nor the loop kept me interested. Art is beautiful and this is a reasonable price, but the game just felt shallow and there are many better Metroidvanias on the platform.
Appreciate player count being included, thanks op!

Could you suggest few that you think are good Metroidvania titles
I'm finally trying shovel knight, but I'm having trouble staying engaged. The nostalgia factor started to wear off pretty quick.
People that love it, what do you love about it? Maybe I'm just missing something. I'd really like to appreciate it, considering how beloved it is.
For me it's the gameplay and controls. It's been a while since I've played it, but i think it took a bit for me to really get into it after I started getting upgrades and had more moves. Also, you can play it as different characters with different storylines.
It was definitely nostalgic for me in that the mechanics reminded me of Ducktales, which was one of my favorites. But I enjoyed it most because of how fun it was.
You're making me want to play again because I'm forgetting tons of details. And I haven't beaten it as all the Knights yet.

I perceive you're not trolling with this comment, so I feel it is OK to say this to you:
Sometimes it's OK to not like something everybody else does like, and you don't have to feel bad or that you're missing out because you don't get hit the same way everybody else appears to be. Because odds are a ton of those claiming it are just in it for the cred.
If this is not your bag (it's not mine either), and although I don't see it currently on sale, try Yoku's Island Express. It's a Metroidvania with a Pinball mechanic. Very fun, not terribly difficult, and full of sweetness and heart.

Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, and Shovel Knight are three of my favorites

If you like traditional Metroidvanias: Axiom Verge, Gato Roboto, Timespinner, & Bloodstained:RotN. Also note Super Metroid is included in NSO.
Personally, I am a fan of the ones that blend in Soulslike elements: Salt & Sanctuary, Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, Ori, Vigil, & Death's Gambit.
Other Metroidvania genre fusions I would recommend are: Dead Cells, Guacamelee 1 & 2, Chasm, Steamworld Dig 1 & 2.
