Having used all three, including the Makita 36v, I have to call absolute BS.
The saws are all very similar in size and within a pound of each other. While all perform similar when running, the Milwaukee makes less cuts per amp of battery and if using steady, timed out from overheating. While the 36v Makita is a good saw, it requires two batteries and without timing out from overheating like the Milwaukee, has about the same power; albeit the odd 'soft start.' The DeWalt is simply faster than both and just as fast as my corded Makita when using the 8amp 20v, or the 9amp Flexvolt.
When it comes to dust clearance, I would have to agree that the DeWalt is a bit behind both the Makita and Milwaukee and the DeWalt handle is a bit small if you have large hands and working with heavier winter gloves.
Nevertheless, the OP DeWalt being a "toy" is nonsense. While it typically boils down to what battery platform you are already invested in, this DeWalt is more powerful and cheaper.

In for one, but I've got enough fast chargers. Where do you recommend selling this charger for $60? If so, $150 for the rest is really slick.

Worm Drive option and its weight is not for this homeowner.
And That 8ah (in this kit) is probably a beast too. I have the 6ah and it's a tablespoon of neutron star.
Still, this is a dope saw. My corded saw is convalescing now. I never felt the 6 1/2" versions could replace a corded.

This was the same excellent deal as last year that includes the 8amp battery, that from usage, runs this saw even better than the 6amp Flexvolt batteries. The 9amp Flexvolt does seem to give it a little more power, but the included 8am 20v does great.
I am not much for buying the 20% coupons, but the online 10% Military discount more than covers the sales tax. Often with these sales, the Military discount does not work in store, but not sure about the purchased coupons.
