I can't speak of HiSense's track record so I am not saying you're wrong about this specific brand or series. However, I wouldn't agree with your general advice about TVs in this price range. And of course longevity reviews are rare to find.

Every time that I discuss this subject matter. There's always someone who has to cue in with.... I have a TV from ***** and it's still working as new
Yeah... that was a TV built years ago... I am reffering to current TVs will not last long !!

I would say it depends on the brand and model you buy. How do you know current TV's won't last 8 to 10 years if current TV's have only been out for a few months? Seems like a broad and ridiculous statement
I would like to know this as well.

Why is it that certain people need for things to be explained to them as if they're five years old.... They cannot figure out things and cannot read between the lines...
1) I used to be in the electronic business.
2) I attended a few CES in Vegas.
3) I participated in a few conferences which this subject matter was discussed by industry leaders (Manufacturers & retailers)
My point : TVs are on purposed being designed not to last long. Everyone in the electronic business knows this.
My last SONY TV lasted a few weeks past the warranty and Sony customer service commented that I shouldn't have expected for the TV to last longer than two years.
OK... what are you're qualifications.... except being an internet know-it-all, armchair quarterback????
AND... if you still do not understand. I will draw you a pretty picture and I will make sure to use all the colors in the crayon box.
The last TV I had that broke was as a Sony HDTV which at the time was a 4000+ TV. If a customer gets few yrs out of a $400 TV I would say thats pretty good regardless.
Extended warranties are wasted money on electronics. That's where they make all their money on cheap TVs and actually most TVS. If you have a good credit card that gives you extra years that is fine. You are insuring something worth less the day you got it. After a few yrs whatever you have is cheaper and or better. No way. How much can they make on a $400 TV with higher shipping and trucking costs.

Lol you're so full of yourself. Attend a few ces and work in the sales department at a best buy and you're an expert these days I guess.
Planned obsolescence has been a thing long before current TV's bud.
