Newegg use to be my goto but has went way down hill. My last transaction with them (and will always be my last) I bought some case fans, the wrong ones. I noticed seconds after ordering and I couldn't cancel on the site. Call CSR and they said they couldn't cancel it at that time and to just return it after I received it. Then after I received it they said that item can't be returned even if it's unopened. I should have refused delivery but the CSR said a return would not be a issue. They didn't even attempt to help a long term customer who had used them for over a dozen builds through the years. If I can't trust them I can't use them.

Great deal for the PS5. These prices are dropping more quickly than I had anticipated. Don't forget to put a heatsink on it if you are getting it for the PS5. The heatsinks are around $10-$15 on Amazon.

Bro, not true. When you click to 500 gb, it redirects to SN750(!!!), that is different model. So just be careful.

Good catch!! Not sure why they switch the link on that page. It looks like they do also have the 500gb on sale for $95 but unsure why it is listed as stand alone product. Says its gen 4 but maybe different model?

that really depends on the laptop. you have to check to see if your specific laptop has a 2280 m.2 nvme slot.

there should be a good amount of laptops that can fit this, but - very old laptops don't have a m.2 slot; some older laptops have 2280 m.2 slots but only take sata (not nvme), some can only take 2230 form factor, some come with soldered storage (and therefore not upgradeable).

check your specific laptop model and see if it can fit a 2280 m.2 nvme drive.

2280: 22mm wide and 80mm long
m.2: form factor specification
nvme: storage protocol (an m.2 drive is either sata or nvme, not both, but a motherboard can take either just one or both).

Technically yes, but it's a waste. Gen 3 drives are quite cheaper. You would only get a Gen4 for a Gen3 laptop if you plan to remove it and put it into a Gen4 slot next year or something?

If you're not planning to remove it and take it... just get a Gen3 since that's how it would perform.

Edit: I'm also saying "next year" since I anticipate drive prices to drop eventually. So if you want a fast hard drive for much later... just buy it much later when you need it.
