Just purchased 11600k for $200, should I keep this or return and get the 10700 ???
If you can get to the Tustin store and get the 10700K for $150, it's a no brainer. Otherwise, it's a tougher choice. As far as gaming goes, the 11600K and the 10700K trade blows (depending on the game). Where the 10700K definitively pulls ahead is in productivity tasks (when all 8 cores are called upon).

Another way to look at it is that for only $20 more, you can have the bragging rights to running a Core i7. Wink

Thank you, got one today, but they don't have z490 or z590 on sale. Most of the motherboards in store are expensive than Newegg even with the $20 off.
Quote from MRBIGTUNA :
Try to have them ( Microcenter) price match Newegg, I did that when my son and I were shopping for his build. They have the manager come over and adjust the price to match Newegg and he didn't bat an eye about it.
I just ordered an Asrock Z590M Pro4 mATX board from Newegg for my 10700K. I had been eyeing an open box model at my local MC for $126. I like this board because unlike some other Z590 boards, it allows the top m.2 slot to be used with 10th Gen CPUs so you have two m.2 slots to use instead of just one. Newegg currently has it on sale (new) for $130. I was also able to use the coupon code they sent me a couple of weeks ago, SPECIAL4U, to bring the price down another $10 (YMMV). So, I not only got a new motherboard cheaper than MC but it's being delivered to my door.

BTW This is a budget board so I don't expect to be doing much, if any, overclocking with it.

~1100 still in stock as of this posting. So if you are thinking of heading down, there's a very good shot of still getting one.

I was going to get an Alder Lake, but heck my i5-10400 is good enough for everything I want to do.
All new listings on Ebay for $280-300 with Cali location for shipping laugh out loud

I see they're running exclusive deals for the new flagship Tustin location.
They also have GPUs at MSRP prices in that location only. (Seen on JayzTwoCents video).
This is really frustrating since MicroCenter doesn't even have that many locations as is. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to get this deal matched at a different location but good luck with that.
How exactly would sale prices in another state help bring people into the Tustin location? Karen logic

As I type this, I am waiting in line to check out at the Tustin location for my CPU with an MSI Z490-A Pro motherboard. Long lines, but there appear to be more of these in stock. Go straight to the back left of the store and ask for an employee to help you. Good luck!
I'm guessing the GPUs were cleaned out by the time you got there?

As a side note, they fixed up the locations really nice. It reminds me of Fry's in its heyday. The pallets full of crap bare drives are fun.

None of the motherboards in stock looked like great values.

I'm going to rehome my i5-10400 in this motherboard with some crap RAM I have around:

It's the danger for pricing things below market for promotion. I'll probably put some older hardware on eBay as a result of this deal.
