Maybe? I just searched my orders and I got 2 of this sheet set in neigh and some light green color for $17.50 and $17.99 from Walmart in September of 2018. $45 for the same hotel style 600 thread count sheets feels overpriced to me, even with inflation.

Is this even a good price? I feel like they used to do these sheet set sales for $20-30 for black Friday, now it's $45? Isn't that normal price for most sheet sets?

Pretty much correct. Pima cotton is basically the same extra long staple (fibers) that makes Egyptian more durable, and softer when washed. It's grown in US and other areas. The area around the Nile river, in Egypt is perfect to grow cotton due to the humidity, etc. The problem was cotton exports were very low for years in Egypt, this (and just bad business) lead the company that makes these very sheets (WELSPUN) to use cheaper Indian cotton, while still calling it Egyptian. So to be honest, I doubt this is real Egyptian cotton, but if they feel good and last, then I guess what difference does it make.

If you want real Egyptian cotton grown by the Nile River, look for Giza cotton.

Well, considering package says NOT what title says. It should say: "100% Egyptian Cotton WITH Sateen Weave". Look it up on eBay or Google Image. But it could be different product.

after years of using it as if just regular set, I needed to buy more, but could not even sleep on anything else. so buyer beware.
I have tried everything. Only Walmart came close.
It does say "100% Egyptian Cotton with Sateen Weave" on package, and "100% Egyptian Cotton" on label.
While for example BJs says "100% Egyptian Cotton Sateen" on package, similar to this title, and also "100% Cotton" on label. And is junk.
SO AGAIN, this could be a different product than original Walmart product.

So you can only get Egyptian Cotton in white? Just looked at some on Amazon and the white was listed as Egyptian while every other color was cotton. The comments complain of white turning a yellow color.

These are awful if they're the same sheets that were $25 a set a few years back. We received two sets as a gift. One set split the seam of the fitted sheet after the first two uses (we do not have an oversized or extra thick mattress; it was just poorly sewn). WM refused to take them back because they were "used" and not resellable. They were super, super stiff and starchy. It took quite a while for them not to itchy. And once they weren't scratchy anymore they began to fall apart random places along the edges. They also started pilling as they aged.

I'm not sure if this was just my Walmart (NE Store #4358) or not, but when I ordered these online and picked them up in-store yesterday, they rung up as $30. When I tried switching it to shipping, it showed $45. YMMV, but try choosing store pickup to save $15.
