As someone who has a pixel 6 Pro, I highly recommend just getting the 6. It's so much cheaper and the Pro has no features that are worth the pricetag over the non pro. If I could do it again, I'd get the pixel 6.

The phone is big on the hands and quite heavy. Be warned. You'll end up missing smaller phone size of 5.7to 6.2 inch screens

Nova launcher is immensely customizable, and I can't recommend it enough. You can move the stock Pixel launcher elements wherever you want, among MANY other options.

Is this an upgrade from a note 10 plus or a downgrade? Never owned a Google phone.
I want to know this too. This is my current phone.

Optical zoom is as the name suggest Optical, There is no AI enhancement to a physical thing. Pixel and iPhone both have digital zoom, Pixel might have a better algorithm that is using "AI", but it's all digital.

The Pixel 6 doesn't have any Optical zoom. The 6 Pro has x4.
Doesn't the regular 6 have 2x optical? Just not the 4x telephoto on the pro?

no it doesnt the reg has no physical zoom lens but is able to do about 2x optical with the ai
but when i tested with the p4xl which has 1.5x tele the p4xl was significantly better.
if u r coming from p4 the zoom is gonna be worse
but the p4 has better zoom then the ip13pro with 3x lens but very slightly better
that means the ai can achieve 2.1x with the older ai on p4 i will be higher with the new ai
but maybe only 2.2x

Wow, I must have missed that. So the only optical zoom is on the pro. And only for 4x. Not even 2x on pro is optical.
So the 6 is screwed. That's a major bummer. I don't want the pro and it's curved screen. Guess I'll have to just deal with digital zoom again or go iPhone which I really don't want to do.

It will. Just no mmWave 5G
Pretty sure the 6 and 6 Pro both have mm wave bands.

I was wrong it's the Pro that has mmwave unless you get the Verizon model of the 6 which you can't unlock the bootloader.

Pros? The 6 is a whole new beast, first processor made by google and finally new camera module. It will take amazing photos and videos.

Cons? Cost more?

Seriously though if anyone was ever in the market for a Pixel this is the one to get hands down. Ill be upgrading even though my 3A is running like new 3 years later.
Will pixel 6 take photo and make ugly people "amazing"?

There is literally only one major phone maker that actually designs and manufactures their own chips and that's Samsung (and Exynos is not a highly regarded line).
Everyone else uses a separate foundry company (usually TSMC) to manufacturer their chips, so that shouldn't matter to anyone's purchase decision.
and contributed to Qualcomm's nightmare of overheating issues in multiple its flagship SoCs

u missing the point the 4x translates into 9x with ai

and the non pro can do about 2.2x with ai go test it in bestbuy agaisnt other phone

google cams stands out mostly for the ai not only on the zoom

I am a current user of pixel 4 and had been using it from may 2020, i do two charges to 80% a day to get on with my day, as I follow accubattery notification to charge only till 80%.. battery life on pixel 4 is atrocious.. this battery life is on wifi as I work from home..
you'll probably be amazed at battery life of an Xperia phone if you can shell out the money to get one. I only need to charge once every 2-3 days for normal use, but 1-2 times for the same usage with a Moto phone

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are identical in the areas that matter: SoC, main rear facing camera, software. They are close enough in two other main areas: battery life, screen quality.

$550 vs $900 is a pretty large difference in price.
