As someone who has a pixel 6 Pro, I highly recommend just getting the 6. It's so much cheaper and the Pro has no features that are worth the pricetag over the non pro. If I could do it again, I'd get the pixel 6.

The phone is big on the hands and quite heavy. Be warned. You'll end up missing smaller phone size of 5.7to 6.2 inch screens

Nova launcher is immensely customizable, and I can't recommend it enough. You can move the stock Pixel launcher elements wherever you want, among MANY other options.

I've also been on the fence since I have a 4a 5g too. I think the pixel 6 wouldn't do much for me, other than the internal wifi calling aka backup calling feature. But esim doesn't work on mint right now anyway

this is Target so what are the chances of the phone being sold out the whole time instead?

During preorders at Target headphones were sold out the whole time until the headphone deal was over.

Nice. Wondering if anybody is going to beat this price. Google?

I'm gonna pick this up. Just wondering how bad the fingerprint sensor is. I have a Samsung a71 5g and it has a bad fingerprint sensor so I'm used to it.

Google knows we want headphone jacks, that's why they include them on the 5a, why won't they include them on their flagships? To keep up with Apple? Lame.

holup - I'd be going from a pixel4 but I see:
  • pixel 4: 444 ppi -- 2280 x 1080 on a 5.7" diagonal
  • pixel 6: 411 ppi -- 1080 x 2400 on a 6.4" diagonal

Do I have that right? People who want phablets will say "oh yeah, get that big display" but I definitely do not want a bigger phone, I like a thing I can hold and operate with one hand. I don't want a bigger phone and don't want a bigger worse display, but pixel6 seems to be. Why might I be wrong with that interpretation?
You would be upgrading the processor, the camera, etc.... not the size.
The display quality will be unnoticeable.
Therefore, if you can live with a bigger size, do it...otherwise don't.

It will. Just no mmWave 5G
Is that enough reason to get the Pixel 6 through Verizon versus getting it unlocked? I really hate that Verizon is charging $700 for this phone, but I don't want to be getting a limited experience if I buy unlocked. Is mmWave 5G worth it?

We have both... wife has the 6, I have the 5A. Very little difference in real world use regarding weight/size... much ado about nothing.

They are roughly the same size, and the weight difference is 24 grams. That's about the weight of a AA battery.

T-Mobile best buy deal. Today Nov 17 represents day 27. Once Nov 30 hits I'm sending that unlock request and getting off this iPhone ASAP.

I really like the p6. I had a s21+ and this phone seems smoother. I hated the camera on the s21. I have been wanting to go back to pixel ever since I got rid of my pixel 2xl for an S10.

I was thinking same, but it seems a lot of folks want to tell us that they have small hands without saying they have small hands?

I've had the original pixel, 2xl, 3xl, 5, 4a 5g, and then the 6. The 5 is too small for me but the 6 is bulky and heavy compared to the 4a 5g which was a great size. The fingerprint scanner is slow and inaccurate at times on the 6 and it's not as convenient to use because you have to wake up the screen first to unlock it. On the 4a 5g and 5 I can pick up the phone anyway and just slide my fingers into the sensor to unlock. I can't do that with the 6 and the issues with the sensor bother me. Also, there is no more free Google Photo storage on the 6. All these reasons combined made me go back to the 4a 5g.
Just a point of clarification, lift to wake can be enabled on the 6. Additionally, a system update started to roll-out yesterday that has improved the performance of the fingerprint scanner

Yep, it's decent but not worth the cost. Also, the screen being 120hz over the 90hz on the Pixel 6 is hardly noticeable. And you get a flat screen, not the curved edges on the Pro.

And bigger battery in the Pro.
