Sorry if it's been asked, but is there any good reasons to stay on the "wal-mart" $30($33 month after taxes) plan that had 5gb LTE(high speed) data, unlimited 2g(?) data, 100 minutes calling, unlimited text, instead of switching to Mint?

Besides the benefit that I wouldn't have a minute limit for calls anymore. If it makes any difference the plan I have wasn't actually through Wal-mart, it was directly through T-mobile at the time.
Not anymore. I have the $30 plan and my account was moved to their new account management system and now no longer have Binge On. Someone said Music Freedom still works. $30 for 5GB is no longer worthwhile without Binge On.

What do people think of the Pixel 6 deal?

24 months - 10gb for about $840 ($920 after tax).

Comes out at around $38 a month for a Pixel 6 and 10gb plan.

Switched to Mint from Redpocket. Mint was absolutely terrible, so sporadic. I left 3 prepaid months early cause it wasn't worth it.

I'm in a rather populated area too, just outside Flint, MI

Which network with Red Pocket. I am on GSMA currently and was contemplating switching to GSMT or Mint because of crappy wifi calling availability with GSMA.

Yes purchase from Best Buy and no $10.50 fee. I purchased the other day from Best Buy with free next day delivery. Whole process of signing up and transferring number took 1 hour due to RedPocket. I had to call them to release my number. Normal process should take under 15 minutes.

Yes, and opt for in-store pickup if possible. A lot of reports of people getting the package w/o a sim inside. Check the open window in the back for an actual card.

Misleading price. Please add $10 more for the total price. According to mint, it's some sort of recovery fee. Just plain hidden fees. Not worth the hassle.

The recovery fee varies by plan. The $10.nn is for the $45 plan, so higher for the other plans. See the T&C under section 10.1 or just buy from Best Buy or Target instead. You'll still get hit if you renew though.

Does any one know an affordable phone I can buy to use for Mint Mobile? Coming from Verizon but I am tired of paying for their services. I have a beat up old Samsung S6 from Verizon if it matters..Can I use this phone for Mint Mobile? If I can, what changes do I need to make so I can use it?

I am really irked by Mint Mobile offering all these deals for new customers only. Existing customers are taken for granted. Have been using Mint for a long time but now looking for another provider.

The $25/month unlimited deal from metro by t-mobile seems pretty tempting, would've been perfect if it included tethering as well.

Pretty much any phone that can use a t-mobile SIM can use the Mint mobile sim. Research cheap GSM phones.

Define affordable. Moto g7 Plus from Amazon currently at $149 includes bands 66 and 71 which will help with T-Mobile coverage. Word of warning you will have a difficult time finding a case it is a rebranded T-Mobile Revvlry Plus and will have to luck up on ebay or direct from t-Mobile.
