Considering the 8 was $250 last week, I hardly consider the buds "free" at $200 more.

It's gonna be a tough choice, my current daily is a 8T with gcam, I had the Pixel 6 at launch and the fact you can't use a screen protector and use the fingerprint sensor is a deal breaker for me as I can't live with scratches or cracks. Switching from so many phones I'd say the only thing I miss about Z Fold 3 and Pixel 6 is wireless charging. The camera is pretty great with Gcam so don't let people tell you it's trash.

I almost pulled the trigger on one+8 last week but I read many negatives about this having random shutdown issues and decided not to get it and wait till 8T is offered at a reasonable price. Now, I am hearing that 8 was better than this???

quick question (may be a dumb one), is 8t with gcam a different phone than the one in this post?

I honestly wouldn't go by what most say. All brands are going to have lemons the 8 models might just have a bit bigger batch. I know it's still early but my 8 is solid and fast so far. But it did just get a 11 update which could have fixed issues. Certainly a upgrade from my OnePlus Nord N10. IMO the 8 at $250 was the better deal.

Yeah just bought the 8 for $250 wondering if a better deal would come. I'd buy this at $350 and just sell the 8. But $450 even with the buds isn't worth it to me so I'm glad I jumped on the 8.
Where you bought this?

Have the T-Mobile version since about January. Great phone no real problems except wifi calling not working 90% of the time.

Deal was last week, it's been dead deal. I'd be surprised if we see anything comparable even on black Friday. Might see the deal again if they get more stock.

Been with several California carriers this year and Oneplus does not work with Cricket any more. Many restrictions on 5G access across all carriers as well. If you're a frequent carrier hopper, I would advise you to stay away from Oneplus.

I'm still going to try to pick one up just for work if I can trade in an iphone SE2

I'm using the 8t right now on 2 different MVNO. I've never used cricket, but I've used all the TracFone, simple mobile, total wireless, Visible, Red Pocket, H2O, and US mobile without issues.

I also can't replicate the deal. but assuming I could, this or pixel 6?
I'd recommend pixel 6. For 100 dollars more, you will get much better camera system, certified water dust resistance, much longer software and security support, wireless charging and battery share. I pre-ordered pixel 6 on the announcement day and upgraded from 8t. I enjoy using the 6 more than 8t. Plus one detail really bugs me on the 8t is the screen temperature is changed to cold when you use fingerprint for login and change back to warm in 1 second after you log in. Not a issue on the 6

Are you getting 5g from visible? As I understand, you can only get 4G LTE (in California). Also, Cricket banned Oneplus 6T, 7T from any signal. I'd have to assume 8T is not going to work.

I would see the 5g logo with the visible sim. I haven't used them in a while though. I'm also in California. I've got 5g on the T-Mobile MVNO for sure. I don't remember seeing any on the AT&T ones, but it's been a while since I used them.
