I've had an unlocked 8T for a year and I'm still very happy with it. I'm a Nexus/Pixel guy but switched when Pixel 5 didn't impress and the 6 Pro doesn't look compelling to me. I did return the T-Mobile version since they tampered with the rom too much imo. They broke features and interfered with updates.
I'm still going to try to pick one up just for work if I can trade in an iphone SE2

1.5 Turn on wifi and connect
2. Went to Settings, Connections
3. Select Network Unlock
4. Select Permanent Unlock
5. Done

I absolutely love my current camera. Is the 8t camera at least equivalent to the P20 pro? The portrait mode on this is phenomenal.
