I think its funny that OP thinks that this is Chocolate Syrup, but you can see on the package that its actually Hershey's Syrup, with a "Genuine Chocolate Flavor".

There is so little chocolate in this, they are not even legally allowed to call it Chocolate Syrup. Its practically pure HFCS.

Lol. So many comments but then we are talking about chocolate. So for every 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate called for, you'll need 3 tablespoons cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon softened butter, vegetable oil or shortening. Hersheys syrup has cocoa powder as one it ingredients in it which is a purer form of chocolate. Guess thats why I like drinking it with a little bit of milk.

A few years ago the tag line was "Genuine Imitation Chocolate". That was REALLY funny, since the only thing that would NOT fall under that category was.....chocolate laugh out loud

I prefer their "SImply 5" version, though it is pricier......but not enough to really matter.

177 servings per container. 10 people each using only three 45 calorie servings per week would last less than 6 weeks. Better get at least 2 or 3 of these giant bottles.

This deal looks very tempting, since it shows a massive reduction from the stated list price. However, this enormous container costs significantly more per ounce that the Hershey's syrup costs in the grocery store in a more reasonable size. My local Walmart sells a 48 oz. bottle for $4.32 ($.09/oz.) At the list price of $22.59 for 120 oz., the cost/ounce is $.19, which is ridiculous. So with this promotion you can get the giant jug for $.074/oz., which is slightly less than the far more convenient size at the grocery store. Even worse, our local stores occasionally have the 24 oz. bottles of Hershey's syrup for no more than the discounted Amazon price for a giant jug. Further, I checked the ingredients of Hershey vs. Great Value chocolate syrup and found them to be identical. Both use real, not artificial, chocolate. And the store brand sells for the same price per ounce is this promotion. No thanks!

Thanks for doing the math. Didn't want to buy this due to size would take up in fridge but was tempted. I will look at price at Walmart.

Sucks my costcos stopped carrying the two bottle simply5 deal.

My nephew is being sent one and I got one for the kids. Was on the fence because of the fridge space BUT it can last 1-2 years in the fridge after opening. I kind of hope the kids don't have it last that long, but I'm also scared about this ending up on my floor or kitchen counters 😳
