It's possible there will be even better BF deals, but you may have to wait even longer for BF deals to ship and arrive, so this is a pretty decent deal for anyone who needs/wants a DOCSIS 3.1 modem by the end of November.

Good idea! Price match with another retailer who has the modem available immediately in order to pick up a good modem right away for a discount. I'm tempted to try and do this myself to avoid another extortionate $14 Comcast modem rental fee, which would mean I come out ahead as long as the modem doesn't drop below $155 on BF.

I'm just not a huge fan of the color (white) and would prefer to pick up a black modem (e.g. the Netgear CM2000) if it drops to a similar price on BF. Which is a big if. Decisions, decisions.

You can buy Motorola MB8611 from Best Buy for $179 and it is way better than Arris.

MB8611 has better surge protection and AQM support for lag reduction. It has 6gbps instead of 2.5 gbps from Arris.

Same price on Amazon but they have an additional $9 off coupon you can click bringing it to 170.98.

I went with the S33 from Office Depot though since Arris modems has always been reliable for me.

Checked the spec - MB8611 is up to 2.5gbps, S33 is up to 3.5gbps (support 2 Ethernet ports 2.5+1.0gbps). Am I missing anything?

How is Arris / Motorola compared to Netgear CAX30 AX2700 WiFi 6 Cable Modem Router at Costco for $199.

One more positive thing with Costco is the return policy.
