These TVs are a train wreck software wise. Definitely do some research before you consider buying a Vizio!
I have a 2015 Vizio M Series that has never had an issue. Actually upgraded to a Hisense U8G and I'm returning the Hisense since it isn't really doing enough to justify it's existence in my living room compared to the Vizio.
Also, just FYI, for anyone looking at this TV model, the picture is very nice, but the viewing angles are insanely bad. Don't buy this for anything but head on viewing or you may regret it, AKA no fireplace mounting, no large living room with multiple off angle seats, etc.
I've been watching this for the 65 and 70 models and these are the prices I was gonna definitely buy at. But as stated, I've heard of software nightmares and ended up going with the tcl r646.

The U8G is light years ahead of any Vizio TV from 2015 in every single aspect.

As somebody who owns both things that we're talking about this equation I'm not really sure how you could influence my opinion with that general comment

It's not supposed to change your opinion. It was intended to point out that you may not be the most knowledgable TV user if you can't spot the massive difference between a 2015 low-end Vizio and one of the better mid-range TVs of 2021. HDR brightness, motion handling, the smart interface, color gamut - the U8G does virtually everything better than the 2015 M series by a significant margin.

You would be mistaken but I'll leave it at that since this is going nowhere
Bought an M series from Costco last season and it has been great. It was more than $100 cheaper, which is significant. That said, the price isn't bad. It's just not amazing.
Seems to be THIS M7 is much better than the Tu7000.
This TV is becoming tempting to me now that I look at it. 58" vs 65" is big but not something that's a deal breaker for me. I may still buy the U7G Hisense though.
