We bought this model from Target for $175 back in April 2020. In August 2021 it stopped pumping water from the reservoir for either carafes or K-Cups. We have pretty clean city water, so no apparent mineral build-up or other water-induced issues. I was able to force some water into the pickup with a turkey baster and get it partially pumping. I ran a bottle of Keurig cleaning solution through it--no change--then tried a vinegar and water solution, small improvement. It now runs normal brews from K-Cups, but the carafe side brews 25% less than specified. Since it was four months out of warranty, Keurig would not replace it. They only offered a percentage discount on new machines at regular prices on their website.

Overall disappointed that such an expensive machine lasted only a year and some change, and Keurig was not flexible on replacement. At this slick price it is more worthwhile, but I would not pay anything near full price for this model.
I picked this up a couple of weeks ago for the same price and have enjoyed it. We primarily use the carafe for brewing, which does a fine job. Coffee comes out at a lower temperature than the Cuisinart brewer it replaced. If hotter is better for you, then this might not be the coffee maker for you.
It comes out hot, yes. I just know that some people like their coffee realllly hot (180-190 degree range) this puts out coffee more in the 170 degree range which is good and hot for my tastes. I like the unit and think it puts out a decent cup of coffee.

One thing I would recommend is getting the reusable filter basket. It does not come with one and takes a specific size. Something like this:

Our exact experience. I think all of them are cheaply made. Just bought the same one to replace it though at this cheaper price. Mentally writing it off as just 15 trips to Starbucks.

this or the Keurig K-Supreme Coffee Maker - $79 from BBB?
I don't think the K-Supreme will sell this cheap for quite awhile, it's too new. Give it a couple Holiday Seasons.

Great price but the reviews have many complaints about the carafe dripping all over the place when being poured, ugh. My luck I'd get a unit featuring that quirk.

Same here. It made it 14 months, just out of warranty.

Called Keurig, was offered a 20% off coupon for a replacement from them.

Great machine, poorly made water pump. Wouldn't buy again.

My first ever Keurig Platinum many years ago lasted a decade, so to see the quality decline has been disappointing.

It's rather presumptuous of Keurig to assume I have friends.

The following is totally what would happen if I got this:

1. Brew a full pot when I first get it, to try it out.
2. Get lazy every day for three weeks and just use the k cup function.
3. Come back to use the pot function again and oops, I forgot to take the used basket filter and coffee out last time and now it's all white and moldy.

Optimal coffee brewing requires specific temperature ranges tor extraction - this temperature is too low. I'd much rather have a coffee maker that meets that criteria (therefore better coffee quality in general) - and then have to wait an extra few minutes for it to cool off. Besides I sip it over time... and once it cools off enough - blech! Need a reheat at that point.

Can anyone comment on how long it takes to make a pot of coffee? I have a similar coffeemaker from Hamilton Beach (k-cup or a whole pot) and I swear it takes 15+ minutes to brew a 10-cup pot of coffee. My last coffeemaker was also Hamilton Beach and it was less than half the time. Coffee seemed to taste the same.

Another important detail is how often you brewed coffee. Just curious if it is more from usage/wear & tear

I think our usage would have been no more than average, and likely less. Two-drinker household, my wife mainly uses the K-Cup side--but for about 7 of those 14 months she was breastfeeding #1 son and later pregnant with #2 son, so her coffee consumption was pretty minimal during those times. I'm thinking I averaged about 3 carafes per week.

It takes about 10-12 minutes to brew a 12 cup pot with this machine.

I just timed it this morning Smilie
