If you don't mind getting last year's model (which would be the 2020 model "65R635" running Roku OS, instead of this 2021 model "65R646" running Google TV),
then Amazon is still the best deal for the TCL 6-series 65" at $898 (link [amazon.com])
... as long as you have (or can get) the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card (5% cashback on all Amazon purchases + 5% extra for this particular TV = 10% off).
Just applied for the Amazon card, got insta-approved (free instant $200 Amazon GC), and bought the 2020 TV.

but note that one of the biggest differences, Local Dimming, is probably less than it looks like because RTings used a 55" when they tested the 2020 model. In their own words [rtings.com], "The 65" and 75" models also have more dimming zones, so they may perform better.".
Now I have to decide whether to cancel the order and buy this marginally better TV for ~$90 more... (probably more like $45 if using some other kind of cashback)... leaning yes...

All black for light bleed, turn off fald local dimming
a dark grey blue for other mura defects.
Depends on your preference really, but IMO roku menus just look like a 1998 DVD player menu to me, boring as hell. Functionality wise there's no huge glaring difference in performance or features aside from easier to navigate settings in Roku.
I picked up the 2020 model on Amazon but will hook up Nvidia shield to replace the TV's OS.
