Unfortunately the 3050ti model is no longer on sale, it's 999. That's why I said I had some FOMO about it. I should have just bought it and given it a shot.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this 3050 model ALSO has Thunderbolt. If it does then it fits my needs perfectly. Basically I wanted a relatively cheap laptop with a decent CPU and a reasonable GPU along with Thunderbolt. My thought is to spend another $300 and buy an eGPU dock for use when at home but the 3050 or 3050ti is more than sufficient for me when on the go.
I WAS considering the Dell G15 with the 3060 but it's a LITTLE higher than I want to spend.

Yep. Finally got all components to upgrade and open this bad boy
It's a sticker on exact my unit. I was keeping in mind our previous conversation in other thread and made a pic right away.
3050Ti was $799 few hours ago, so it's come and go deal, you better keep an eye and refresh it time to time.
And G15... Duh. Better CPU i7-11800H, better GPU 3060 6GB, smaller screen tho, but comes with 16GB ram installed. Not sure 'bout TB tho, but for $970 it's kind of a good deal nowadays. Tho I am in same boat with you - LITTLE higher than I want to spend.
CPU i7-11800H, 3060 6GB, 16GB ram installed.
With sign-in mail 10% off for $970
Plus if you want another 10% off then apply for Dell financial.

Even if it was the same model, Best Buy will not price match because it's for sale on eBay. Doesn't matter that it's Best Buy selling it, they consider it a third party vendor.

The AMD chip is 8 core / 16 thread, two years old, and Zen2. Zen3 chips are all the rage now. This chip is a very good chip. The 11260H just came out though and is (6 core / 12 thread).
4800H PassMark Cpu score 19162
11260H PassMark score is 15918, but has a higher single core score than the Ryzen. Even though the Ryzen is two years old, I'd say they'd be a wash, but if I had to choose one, I'd go Ryzen.
Also, the 5600m seems to go toe to toe with the 3050Ti (more power than the regular 3050 in the ASUS). Video below for reference.

Neither of these laptops is awesome for gaming… There are probably better deals to available or coming BF/CM.
