Marcy Fitness - MD-5191 Smith Cage Home Gym at Academy Sports - $599.99 + free store pickup

Back in stock. Academy has the white Marcy MD-5191 Smith Cage on sale for early Black Friday for $600 + tax with free store pickup. This is almost $1000 less than the current Amazon price. This unit has the multi-position pull up bar and angled lift rails for better posture. Assembly is required...and this unit is massive.

This model is in-store only either because it weighs 300 lbs (for all three boxes) or because of limited quantities for Black Friday. Free weights are not included, but lifting and pulling accessories are. There are sleeves for Olympic or Standard diameter weights. If you grab this deal before it goes out of stock, please assemble ASAP because one the recurring complaints is missing pieces or the QC is lacking on drill hole locations. According to Amz reviews, acquiring the replacement parts from Marcy/ Icon is usually fast and painless when required.

Maximum weight capacity 300 lbs? What a joke of a product.

I have an older version of this. The likanges look the same. Its a bit of a POS. The linkage resistance doesnt feel linear or natural at all. I mostly just use it as a bench press rack and the bench for other exercises. The rest of it is mostly a waste of space. It is hardly worth half that price.
