Did you have to do in-store pickup? Or was it shipped? I would have done this w/ free assembly if I could have gotten it delivered but they didn't have the option to have it both delivered AND assembled. The delivery would have cost me $60. There's no way I would do in-store pickup for something like this either haha.

Forgot to mention but I got 5% CB through Paypal/Walmart on Chase (I think Discover has CB for Walmart too) and another 5% CB through another CB site (B3Frug4l lol)

This is a really great deal on the Classic I and the Joe Jr. I have a Classic II but, at this price, you can add almost everything that the II has (except the air hinge) and still come out cheaper. You won't find a better deal for a quality Kamado with a lifetime ceramic warranty. I'd recommend the Joetisserie if you love good chicken wings but many others are using it for other stuff as well. I know someone said the soapstone was a gimmick but it is not. It works like cast iron when you get it hot but it cleans up WAY easier than cast iron and never needs to be re-seasoned or will never rust. You can use it at lower temps for fish or veggies too. I have most of the cast iron pieces for my Classic II but the soapstone has replaced most of them for the super simple clean up. The Joe Jr is perfect for a couple or maybe 3 people but if you regularly cook for more than that go with the Classic.

I had it shipped. I had to do the price match over the phone and the CSR wanted to charge $60 for shipping, but I told him if I ordered it online it would be free, so he waived the shipping fee. I was going to ask for the free assembly, since that was included for free by ordering online, but I forgot. Hopefully it's not too big of a pain to assemble.

Oh nice... I asked my friend who has a Big Joe about the assembly and he said it wasn't too bad. It's just heavy. Will have to watch some youtube vids I guess lol

EDIT: yep, definitely will want another person to help lift it haha. Crap, now my wife is going to give me even more flak because I have to ask her to help me with this. Unless I invite a friend over to help LOL

Why? Just because it is cheaper? I don't understand why people could do math so different.

He probably bought the mini because it was all he really needed... But now he has to buy the larger one because the deal is too good to pass up!

The hardest part for the Big Joe is lifting the bowl out of the box and lifting it over the legs. Wear heavy duty gloves if you are lifting it with the hand inside the vent where the metal almost cut my fingers due to the weight.
