call 8004456937 That's how i get it matched no question asked
Thanks. I'll give that a go...

Did you place your order at Lowes *before* calling in for the PM though? Or do you call them and have them 'walk through' ordering where the then adjust the price in your cart, etc while on the phone?

Saving another 10% via Honey is still very enticing though lol

Kick Ash doesn't seem to have the divider like original KJ does?

I price matched with Lowe's by phone as well. No issues at all. They placed the order for me. Nothing done online. It's being shipped through Ceva Logistics. Don't know if they're any good or not.

I was also kind of wishing I would have waited to get that additional 10% through Honey, but if it arrives unscathed by going through Lowe's, I'll be happy.

Seems like a better rated company. I'm deliberating between canceling and reordering at Walmart for the honey deal vs canceling and going through Lowes minus Cashback but getting it setup/assembled for free vs just not doing any of this and leaving everything as is. I still have the option to cancel via the shipping company as of now. having the grill arrive broken or cracked would be a major PITA though

I ended up canceling the shipment and reordering on Walmart w/ Honey. Going to chat to see if they can arrange shipment with a different company lol.

For those who got the Honey offer, how long did it take for the reward to appear in your account? Or did you get any other sort of confirmation that you got those points?

EDIT: I see it now -

That's a great idea! The rack would be higher to hold a full flat in the Jr. though but should be doable.

I'm looking forward to trying it out hahaha.

What is your typical process for brisket if I may ask? How often do you have to refill the charcoal/lump/wood on your Classic? And generally how many hours? 13-14?

Don't use rack. Instead use bamboo skewers to hold the rib in round shape so they can stand. You can do at least 2 this way.

You're talking about for ribs though right? Will this method also work for brisket?

Mine is a joe jr which is even smaller than the classic. I dry rub the flat and cap with 9 proportions of black pepper, 1 proportion of salt(both from Costco) and some cayenne pepper powder overnight. I put 2-3lbs of B&B oak lump light them up, drop 2-3 large blocks of applewood till full combustion and dry smoke for 6-7 hours at 250F. I never refilled lump for that period of time(and there are a lot left) but do add smaller pieces of applewood when the smoke becomes less(mesquite is too strong for my stomach). My understanding of smoking is the flavor woods give and the beautiful smoke ring for that 6-7 hours is enough. So I add some spice and honey, wrap the two pieces with baking paper and then lay them flat in the oven(Jr. is too small) with two dripping pans overnight(8 hours) at 225F. Total cooking time is based on the weight of the meat basically 1-1.5 hrs/lb. I think lumps are quite lasting and the best for BBQ, once you fill it shouldn't worry about refilling.
Pork ribs and thinner meat can be wrapped(there is a video by BBQ dad on YT) or kept vertical with skewers like netseraph2 mentioned.

I see... I went and took the risk of ordering through Walmart again for the sake of the $44.90 back in Honey points haha. It sounds a little safer through Lowes and I guess in light of the cashback you technically can get the free professional assembly/setup of the thing so that might be worth it. I'm a sucker for the lower price and/or cashback opportunities though haha. On second thought, maybe it would have been wiser to go with Lowes for the professional setup because my wrists have been jacked up. On the other hand, I tend to wonder about who's setting stuff like this up and if they really know what they're doing (and aren't missing any steps, etc) - I figure with Lowes though, it should be pretty good haha

I also bought this last week at $550. When I called and even got the supervisor they still did not do the price adjustment. Instead I canceled the first one and re ordered the grill at $450. Due to the inconvenience WM also gave me a promotional credit that I used for additional money off the grill. They already scheduled a pickup of the grill that I have postponed until the second order arrives so I can set this bad boy up this weekend and smoke some pork butt and ribs. Thanks for the post! Saved me another $120!
