Any thoughts on a reasonably priced auto temp controller?

Also, is the classic big enough to use and need left and right split charcoal, like some of the ss baskets have?

I got this one and it works perfectly on my joe Jr. It's expensive though

i got the flameboss 400 when they first released it for $99. they are now $229 on amazon. you control everything via an app instead of a separate display like on the 500.

there are other controllers out there. my buddy used digiq but wore out 2 or 3 of them before switching to flameboss.

you can pile coals for 2 zone cooks. but i have not done that yet. either use lava stone or water pan for indirect. still trying different things with different cooks and meats.

I have a maverick for meat temp monitoring. Just thinking something simple 5o control the Kamado temp.

I found an inkbird product on amazon that does this, is wifi. It's on Black Friday special for 160.

Looks pretty good.

Alright, so I wasn't going to buy it. Then today I was at lowes to pick something up and they had one on display, it was cracked, but man that's a fancy looking grill that looks well worth $450. So while shopping later at walmart I was slowly pulling it up on my phone with their crappy wifi and my poor signal quallity. And it showed up for $650 instead of $450. I think to myself, darn, why did I wait. Oh well, I didn't really need it. Slightly disappointed. Get home, check on my laptop. Still pulls up at $450!!! Insta-buy!

I spent way too much money in the last week, but darn it, of all the things I bought this one will probably last the longest.

Yea I'm surprised how long it has lasted at this price. It's funny how you don't realize a good deal sometimes until its taken away from you hah.

I have every accessory and avid cooke I wouldn't suggest the junior. My favorite accessory is Joetisserie its amazing turkey, wings, meat anything its just amazing it will fit only a big Joe or classic. Your best off with a classic, big Joe is a total waste for most people. If you want to smoke a butt every now or then do burgers or steak junior is good. No rotisserie, get a classic imo.

Couldn't get anything on Honey either, and CB site was only showing 5% for me. I did that, plus another 5% Discover CB.
