A couple of advantages:

1. Upgradeable RAM
2. Full Dell thunderbolt functionality.

I've learned in 2021 that no laptop/notebook is good enough here on SD and I will be stuck with my 10 year old 8/640GB Dell that's bogged down into oblivion.

Save35 is not working for me. Not even the 10% newsletter signup. Chatting with the agent he said that nothing can be applied for blackfriday deals. Any suggestion?
The best answer is they always intended it to be without other kickers that they can control.

They forgot about the save35 and some got accepted and shipped. This always happens to some degree on these deals but they end up locking them down. Sometimes I think they just monitor Slickdeals to check for holes.

Dell had a nice juicy cashback of 12 % from another website late last night, and a Dell laptop purchase also included a $120 off Amex offer. Make sure to use those to sweeten your deal.

I'd describe the 11390 as significantly overclocekd which you will feel in single core.
You'll barely feel it, to the point of insignificance

And again, this means nothing without the thermals of either unit, the Lenovo having the potential to easily be superior

Because it has the processor and price that makes it happen. The parts I want to upgrade I already have. I have them as spares - or, as leftover pieces when I upgrade other laptops.

I have two 16:10 laptops, one lenovo and one Dell. They are part of 4 laptops all new within the last year, HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Asus. I have AMD 5700, pro 5850, Intel 11th gen i3,i5.

So unfortunately, for whatever drives you, Lenovo has to try even harder to be the "always" Laptop choice
Lenovo isn't always the choice, I'm a huge proponent if the pavilion aero 13T which is almost a class leader

This is just reality, and good luck replacing display lmao!

As an example, I can feel and see the difference in use between the i3-1115 and i3-1125 right now, so I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem.

Knowing you have a good thermal solution is great, but that starts to fall towards situations I don't normally encounter.

It should, otherwise fans will be kicking in more often in vostro and it'll boost less aggressively, if so

i3's are shitters, so the difference should be larger there

Either way the vostro gets trounced, given the display, with worse battery(Intel)

Again, you are discounting what people will feel in everyday, light, usage because that's not what you care about.

You will still feel the same difference in low clock 4c/8t vs 4c/8t high clock chips. Especially with the big difference between the 11320 and 11390. People will easily feel that. They can choose not to care because their priorities lie elsewhere and want more, slower cores. WHICH IS FINE.

AMD isn't going to trounce anything if your workload never goes there. And, I can also say AMD on mains/plugged in different than AMD on battery which is fine for me. Intel takes a different path where you choose to let it run free or limit it. Choices for people.

I bought a different Dell model about ten days ago, but the process should be the same.

AMEX issued the statement credit ($120) merely four days from the date of this purchase. The confirmation e-mail for the use of my AMEX card under the Dell program came within minutes after I completed the purchase.

I have also checked this certain cashback site along with it, and my credit is showing as "pending" in my account.

The attached image is from my AMEX card account. There are two (2) lines of "DELL US COMPUTER SALES", one on Nov 15 and the other No 16 showing up in the account screenshot, but those two lines were actually purchased at the same time on Nov 15. The credit date of Nov 16 is a backdate. The actual statement credit was issued on Nov 19.
