Just can't see this being any faster or making a negligible difference.

Correct. However this is 3600. So this is 18CAS at 3600 vs CAS14 at 3200.

You can go 3600 or 3800 cl14 with your ram with some research

I don't agree, this is a bad deal. I've seen Team Group have CL 18 3600mhz with RGB for $110 twice this month and equivalent 3200mhz CL16 PNY for $110 right now and has been for weeks. You're paying an extra $20 because of the Corsair name.

Not as good of a price as the last two times but still cheaper than this Corsair by $13:
