I just bought this grill (my first pellet smoker) on clearance at Wally World a few months ago and it did come with a shelf. Not sure if the BF ones don't for some reason but I'd imagine they do. I've done pork butt, baby backs, brisket, chicken thighs, cod, and as of today an 18lb turkey on this grill and it's been amazing! If you're just starting and on the fence buy it.

Edit:

I have considered that you may be referring to an external shelf that would be on the right side of the grill. It isn't included. There is an internal upper shelf inside the grill. 🦃

I've had mine for a couple years, ever placed just about every part on it once or twice. The temperatures is always run away, shoot on up to 500 plus. It's not worth the little money it cost. Get a camp chef, or get a nice side by side nothing smokes like a side by side.

Any reccs on a small 2 person smoker grill? These are all great but way too big for a small household. Would love some suggestions on smaller smokers that can be used as a regular bbq also.

I've had this one for over 2x years and it is incredible. I've never had any issues and use it ALOT. Temperature is very accurate on mine. I do not use the included probes as I use an external unit for that. All the extended family members love anything cooked on it. My cousin with a Traeger prefers my pitboss as his model does not have the slide panel for searing. IMO any pellet grills is superior to propane as the wood-fired flavor is amazing. Highly recommend!
