Too late. Everyone bought from BH
Just a reminder for everyone to check: I had the Discover 30% off (max $30) on my amazon account - so, I just used 1 point and got $30 off. I also had the AMEX 15% off (max $15) on my account. So, might be good to check if either of those are active on the account Smilie.

NOTE: As a plus, Discover also has Amazon.com as part of its 5% Cash Back this quarter Applause

https://nascompares.com/synology-...ade-guide/ - use this for tested RAM guide - many people have good success with the 16GB crucial stick. Bounces between $70.XX-$72.XX on AMZ

Arriving Jan 19, 2022 - Jan 20, 2022 when i put in an order at amazon right now
When I placed my order, it said that it would arrive within a few days, but then for some reason my package was "lost in transit" and it won't arrive until Jan 2.

I think Amazon didn't anticipate such a huge order and pushed everything out

I used a SAMSUNG 16 GB 2RX8 PC-4 2400 LAPTOP MEMORY SO-DIMM that I found on eBay. There is quite a few available for about 45-60$. I bought mine for about $45. It's been running smooth. Make sure you power down your device, remove all HD's before you insert the new RAM!! Cheers!

Just got this email from Amazon...not even giving a date at this point.

Amazon sent my $550 Synology DS920+ with no shipping box, no packing materials, no seal from the manufacturer to show it hasnt been opened... Amazon just slapped a shipping label and sent it via USPS.

Got my DS220+ last night (picked the slow boat option because I'm a sucker for $1 digital credits).

Now to wait until the end of the month for my 1st WD Red drive to get here from Amazon.

I missed every single one of these Synology deals before I realized I need a NAS. Office Depot / OfficeMax has the DS220+ for $305.79 and you can use the 25% Back in Rewards on it. I happened to find a 30% Back in Rewards promo code and it worked too. See pic.

$329.49 purchase price
- $91.74 Rewards
= $237.75

Not as good as $240 with cashback and no restrictions, etc.

Just got my DS220+. I followed the instructions http://find.synology.com to have my PC via browser, try to locate my NAS on my network. It's plugged into a switch. My PC is on WIFI.

Spent 3 hours so far, cannot detect the NAS.

I also downloaded the SYnology Assistant, it also can't find it.

I've tried the official steps of resetting the NAS via the reset button in the back, hold it 4 sec until the beep.

In one instance it advises to connect a lan cable from PC into the NAS and re-run the scan. This still failed.

But doesn't the NAS lose an IP address since you've unplugged the lan cable so as to plug it into your PC?

Anyway, I noticed in my Router (asus) interface, it sees the NAS, has an IP.. I can PING the IP.

I decided to slap the IP onto my webbrowser and presto, it finds the darn NAS.....

I can proceed with running a setup, haven't done it yet.

Is something not resolving whereby I have to resort to using the IP address?
