Just adding my two cents, these really are awesome, Ive had a pair for years and while they arent audiophile headphones, they get the job done well! For this price its a no brainer if you dont already have a pair!

At first I was going to skip the deal, but noticed 10% back from my amazon card, and that sealed the deal. Will be good for mowing + chainsaw work.

I understand that JUST ANC is not enough to avoid hearing damage. I'm asking about the reduction in relation to a specific type of headphones that go over the ear and are closed, not like earbuds/etc.

Yes, but I've had troubles with keeping things in my ears under hearing protection due to the 'smooshing' they do.

I use a $10 pair of Bluetooth ear buds with harbor freight $4 ear muffs over top for mowing. I've tested while mowing, that with both the buds/muffs on offers better protection than just muffs.
