I own these (new, in white). It was a splurge when I bought them for $300 -- which was the lowest they had been at the time. These do typically stay around $300+
When I first bought I compared them directly to the Sony XM4s. I greatly preferred the sound of the Bose... in fact, I'd say the sound of the Bose was much better, objectively.
Quick to connect, stays connected many 10s of feet away from the device, feels sleek and premium.
I've also listened to these and a QC one after the other. These are a big more premium feeling, and sound is very similar though may have been a bit better on these.
Noise cancelling is quite good, great on low frequencies and better on mid and high than others.
I'd say these are actually refurbished, not used. It's direct from the manufacturer and they're giving a 2 year warranty, instead of some of the "refurbished" ones that are just third party sellers with 30 day "warranties"
Almost definitely not. Someone else can confirm, but typically it has to be from the official store.

Seems exaggerated! I disagree on all points, but I suppose some of that is objective (design is terrible? Seems to get compliments and look good).
Yes I guess it is personal preference on the design, I dont like the slim band, the way you make it smaller or bigger, as far as sound quality, that is not objective, look at every single review as well
I bought this from Ebay for around $240 (same refurb model) and it was basically completely new. I could not tell anyone had used it before. Works like a charm.

I can't imagine what you are referring to. I did a sound test myself and results were fairly unanimously tilted in favor of the Bose. The very first search result in a simple Google for Bose 700 vs Sony XM4 sound quality test will lead you to an article from SoundGuys saying they're similar, but Bose edges out the Sony.
The world in which "every single review" points to Sony sounding better...? What reality is that? lol

Common dude, do a YouTube search on nc700 vs the XM4 and every review favora XM4 for sounds, its not a debate
I bought direct from bose refurb before it was new i could not tell it had any signs of use. Sound and battery are great almost a year down the road. Love these!

dude, you're only watching content that you agree with. There are clearly YouTube reviews that favor each. There is definitely not a "'universal" love of the Sonys over the Bose. Very very comparable with only minor differences.

I agree, overall there are people that prefer both, but strictly sound quality pretty much every review prefers the XM4, the xm4 are known to be the king of sound

*As your heels dig in deeper*
No, you missed the point again, still cherrypicking what you want to hear. I already provided proof to the contrary! lol
The Bose sound great, in my test, and in the reviews of many other who you willingly ignore because for some unknown reason you have decided XM4 or you don't exist.

"I'm a musician, and I'd choose the Bose. In terms of sound quality, I liked the Sonys less, and it's actually not even close. My number 1 pick is a clear winner, and it's the Bose."
I'm dipping out of this part of the convo, has taken up too much of my time unfortunately. I have no clue what you are / were driving toward with this conversation thread. I'd consider it unreasonable to take the stance you took, which is that *the internet* unanimously prefers Sony. It's unlikely in any scenario, and demonstrably wrong lol
Happy to continue / answer Qs / give thoughts to anyone else!

That's my hesitation。I hope bose website can sell it at this price so I can have 3 month to return if needed.
