RP AT&T vs. Verizon - Our Experience:
I'm on Redpockets AT&t and my wife is on Redpockets Verizon. 3 years with Red Pocket.

Call Quality:
My wife has been very happy with the call quality on Verizon. She uses her phone for office meetings from time to time with no issue. I use my AT&t red pocket exclusively for my business and personal calls and have been very happy with the call quality. We do not have a home phone line (who does these days?).

Data Quality:
My wife seems to be affected by peak time throttling as every once in awhile it feels like her phone is running on 2G. It is very short times in areas she normally receives good throughput, so that is why we suspect it is peak time throttling. It doesn't happen enough that we worry about it but at the same time it is frustrating when it does happen. With AT&t red pocket I have never experienced peak time throttling issues and have been very happy with their data throughput. The only issue I can say that I've had with AT&t red pocket data is that every once in awhile I get an error message saying that I was not allowed to hotspot. However, typically a reboot would take care of that. I use hotspot a lot when we travel on our road trips. My wife has not had any issues using hotspot with her Android phone and Verizon red pocket, though, it's my understanding that now RP say they don't support Verizon red pocket hotspotting.

Customer Service:
The few times that we've had to contact customer service they have been available to take our call or chat. Only frustrating time I had with support was when we contacted them because we had a SIM card go bad. Getting them to believe that I knew it was a bad sim card was pointless as they have to do their job their way. However after going through their "by the book" support steps they sent out a replacement Sim and everything has worked fine since then. I wouldn't say it's as good as Verizon over the counter walk-in store service, but it's pretty decent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend if you're okay using chat support.

Why RP and 2 differnt services:
We take a lot of motorcycle road trips and coverage is important to us so that is why we use two different services to increase our chances of having coverage when the other might not. When splitting up the different carriers, red pocket is definitely the least expensive way to do it that we have found.

Our Phones/Location:
Just in case you were wondering, we're both running new flagship Samsung. I run the Zfold 3 and she has the latest Galaxy Note. We live in the Tigard Oregon a suburb of Portland. We often travel the the back Mountain roads of the western states.

As always your results May vary 😁

I've used all three on RP. AT&T is the best for data and Verizon is the best for reception. I've gotten frustrated multiple times with Verizon's data speed due to their throttling and I'd stick with AT&T if data speed is important to you.

If I have Redpocket now for 60 more days can I use this to reup without getting a new number when the 60 days is up Thanks
Point 1 - It should be the same plan. else you will loose the remaining days.
Point 2 - If same plan should work in theory. But many of us lost days. Few were able to fight back to get the lost days. So i would say YMMV. You can buy the plan and wait till the last day till you activate. (45 days at max you can wait before code becomes invalid. RedPocket CS is pretty good. But if you show frustration, they will show theirs.)

The Terms & Conditions state 90 days from the order date.

Last year I was able to use the activation code with my existing 8 GB plan (as mentioned, it needs to be exactly the same plan), and it extended the plan by 360 days without losing any days.

You have to try them out for you. Usm has tmo and Verizon and the Verizon is heavily throttled. Last I checked wifi calling was an issue and there were other oddities. So be warned any Verizon mvno is subject to heavy data throttling so I would try them out for a few months first before you commit. Apparently there is going to be premium version but at that point it approaches Verizon prepaid pricing.

red pocket works well with att but you can use TMO and Verizon dep upon the card.

as for cs red pocket is not the best and usm is very good and responsive because they are still small. very active on Reddit. hth
Obviously anecdotal, but I would say in my experience, RedPocket CS is FANTASTIC. They have chat and live call options (unlike some, such as Visible). And in my experience, the wait time is never long - five minutes max. Further, most of the reps really seem to know that they are doing (unlike Visible and, in my experience, Straight Talk). As a testament to this, I have "released" my in-laws and my grandparents on them (textbook technophobes), and RP CSRs sorted out their issues without my intervention. Bravo!

I switched my wife and myself over from RP to ST, and in retrospect, I sort of wish I hadn't. ST customer service has been really hit or miss, and the waits are often long.

I realize this doesn't help you regarding USM, which I have never used. But I wanted to chime in to report my overwhelmingly positive experience with RP.

Thanks for the feedback. I do like ATT except for their data download speeds ...I get avg speed of 1 mbps for download so if I am reading an article, the pics in the article with not upload. CSR only recommends resetting the network. It helps for a little while then the speed drops again.

Your comment on the data quality is in line with my experience. I was happy with Verizon until I experienced the data throttling that made it seem like it was using 2G speed which was painfully slow. It's happened to me more times than I'd like (probably depends on the region) and I will just stick to AT&T.
