I wish that the 65R646 from Best Buy would drop to this price. I really want the HDMI 2.1 port to future proof myself for next-gen gaming. Also, the 646 model is a bit brighter than the 635.
I just got a price adjustment by chat no questions asked, no hassle. She even asked if I wanted it charged back to credit card or gift card, and I took the gift card option so my discover cash back wouldn't get messed up by a refund.
keep in mind, This is last years model. 65R635.

Gah, i bought this same exact thing 5 days ago for $898, to be delivered on December 8 - i'd cancel and reorder, but i'm not sure i can: for some reason, amazon sent me a notice saying it shipped yesterday (from where - 2 weeks before delivery???). any advice? thanks!

Call the customer service for price adjustment or you tell them, otherwise you will return it and rebuy it with diff price.

A lot of people(like me) were waiting for this model to go on sale and bought for $899 off Walmart. Now Amazon screws them over by putting it on sale today for 799 and everyone's gonna return these to Walmart. Thankfully mine hasn't been delivered from Walmart yet and I can just refuse delivery.

For those who don't know about HDMI 2.1 and VRR, still worth it for the R646?
HDMI 2.1 and VRR are mostly beneficial for gaming systems. They enable 4k at 120 hz and prevent screen tearing, respectively. If you're not using a game system on it, probably not a big deal. Otherwise I believe the 646 is a small step up from the 635 and, probably most importantly, is Android instead of Roku. I'm personally not going for the 646 because I hate Android TV, but that's a personal preference so not really a knock against the TV.
