Tested the 2x speed and the audio is played quite fast to a point of being unintelligible!
But if your brain works 2x faster than mine, then you should be able to understand it!
Be forewarned that this model seems to have bad vignetting / uneven brightness at the corners and edges. It's very noticeable with solid colors (do an all white screen test via YouTube and you'll see what I mean!) ... but not so for movies and dark backgrounds. Thought it was a defective tv, but a replacement had the same issue but was slightly less uneven.
I'm keeping the replacement since it has all the other bells and whistles for the given reasonable covid, post China tariff price of $349 at the warehouse:
* eARC
* Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos
* Auto Low Latency Gaming Mode + VRR
* Native Roku which I wholeheartedly recommend
* Alexa basic voice control via Roku Skill (manual did not disclose how to enable voice activation)
* Very loud sound which is decent enough for everyday use
* Reasonably bright screen using the "Brighter"/"Normal" video screen options
R7G5 vs U6GR5?

R6 Review (55" version)
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/r6090g
R7 Reviews (rtings hasn't reviewed it, these reviews are quite old and only the 50" the current model may be different)
https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/hisense-50r7e
https://www.techradar.c
My takeaway:
R6 has significantly better contrast (5408:1 vs 3441:1)
R7 is brighter (~300nits vs ~250nits)
Both seem to have similar color quality (Neither can quite cover DCI-P3, but cover basically all of sRGB/Rec.709)
The 55R7G5 has a 3 year warranty vs the 1 year on the 58R6E3

So . . . which is better - more contrast or more brightness? The intended viewing location is never overly bright, so I'm thinking a bit more contrast may be more valuable than a bit more brightness.

I have the newer ones with GTV and they are great other than needing restarts from time to time.

I think it's tolerable during normal viewing, but if you'd use it as a PC monitor it would probably not be usable.
For a real step up with better HDR/Brightness/Quality control the U6G or U7G would be a good option.

Right there is no guarantee so get it from somewhere where returns are easy and not questioned if if doesn't look really good to you. You may need to go through a few unfortunately to get a good one.

I think the most common reason TV's fail is that they get too hot, I have had a simple quiet USB fan pulling air through mine and it's also wall mounted so it's stayed very cool. Have also been running full brightness for the majority of the 5 years (probably in the range of 10,000-15,000 hours on it).
Also, with these cheaper models there is always a risk of getting many in a row with bad BLB, or the first one you get has the least BLB.
The 58R6E3 I have has edge bleed but is surprisingly consistent on the rest of the image. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it yet, I missed the 65" U6G at $499 which would have been much better all around.

I actually ordered the android U6G 65 as the Roku one had mixed early experiences and I didn't really want a Roku set. Helps that that was the one that rtings reviewed so I have a little more comfort level there. We'll see.
