TigerDirect has the APC BR1000MS UPC bundled with an APC surge protector for $99.99 with free shipping [tigerdirect.com].

BR1000MS has:
  • 10-Outlets/1000VA/600 Watts
  • Sine Wave Output Voltage Wave Form
  • 4x NEMA 5-15R (Surge Protection)
  • 6x NEMA 5-15R (Battery Backup)
  • 1080 Joules
  • Circuit Breaker
  • 1x 4 USB Type A
  • 1x 24 USB-C

This was previously a FP deal at $110. It appears to be their daily deal for today.

This is a great price for a pure sine wave UPS. The main drawbacks according to reviews are some early failures and some coil whine. APC customer service seems to be pretty good about addressing failed units. The previous deal thread also mentions TigerDirect took a month to ship.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I've never seen an APC on slickdeals that didn't have several pages of people saying it will fry your electronics and shoot your grandma. This seems like a good deal to me with just a basic home office setup, but I look forward to finding out why I was an idiot to buy it.
I got this same deal from Tiger for $99 back in July. Though it took them a month to get it to me. I've been using it since August with no issues or noticable noise.

Damn thing is heavy AF. It's got one hefty battery in it. Amazing they can do free shipping and still profit.
Don't plug laser printers into UPSes.
This will work for the rest of your setup.

Big shout out to the original poster for listing the wattage; just fix that first bullet from "600 Amp Watt" to "600 Watts".

Good luck!

I fixed the amp watts typo. I should have noticed that in the copy and paste. It only changes my post though. It did not seem to update the deal info the FP post though.

Always this same specs when there is a sale. Cmon stores, give us a deal on the higher models.

So this would be a good device for a typical non-gaming pc and a printer, plus maybe a random smart speaker or something?
The upside in this offer is that this is a pure sine wave model. This price point often has simulated sine wave models, which are functional but best kept away from modern PC power supplies.

As such, this is a great model for a PC which isn't too power hungry (as the peak load for this unit is 600W).

Good luck!
Jon

I hope amazon will price match if not I will pay tbe extra 34 dollars for it because I don't trust Tire Direct doing a quick look up on Google they have way too many one-star reviews

So replacing the batteries is pretty easy? Thanks
I'd put it right up there with changing an auto air filter, though I'd exclude my Mini Cooper's cabin air filter from that analogy... I had to do that upside down with my head in the passenger foot well and my feet over the passenger seat headrest.

The two-battery module connector is a bit trickier to take apart and attach to standard individual batteries, but these are all slide-on/slide-off spade connectors.

Good luck!
Jon

I got this last time. It runs my work iMac/70TB G-RAID perfectly fine. Running at full blast, it'll give me 13 minutes of run time. More than enough to shut everything down safely.

Ooooo thanks! What's wrong with laser printers into these? A power surge of some kind?

in for 1. For $100 I will have piece of mind for my desktop and WD 14TB backup drive to be protected during a power failure. I know with these units it is either hit or miss so I am hoping this lasts. Thanks OP!

Laser printers draw a lot of power! Especially when first heating up. If you were to plug a laser printer into this 600w unit it would over load it. That may shut the APC down to prevent damage. If you had a powerful enough APC you could use a laser printer with it of course.

"Laser printers draw a high current to heat up their fuser roller. A typical UPS cannot cope with such a spike."

You'd be lucky to get 15 minutes out of a 1500VA model
