Has mapping and uses magnetic tape for areas you dont want it to go. Woot does NOT include the magnetic tape. You can, however, buy third party magnetic tape on Amazon.
App is required for any directions and settings, such as lowering the volume of the vacuum speaker, room naming, connect to voice assistant, suction power, etc.
Machine has button on top to power on and automatically vacuum or return to dock.
Base is bagless.
Uses camera to map area. Photos are deleted immediately after completing the maps and are allegedly encrypted according to Shark.

This vs the wyze? Trying to decide what one to get the gf for Xmas. The auto empty is nice but looks like it's lacking lidar so probably no straight lines?
i bought a soundbar (refurb) from woot. Was missing cables and remote, After going through hoops and hurdles with the customer service, they sent another and still missing remote and box was missing a side (just taped up).
iv boughten refurb stuff from other sites. Woot! was the first time where customer service was bad and the product (both instances) had some issue.
it really is a buyers beware

Vacuum Wars does a pretty good job at comparing various robot vacuums. The Wyze vacuum was their top budget pick for 2021. This vacuum was not listed on their top 10 list for 2021; however, it was rank #1 for their premium pick in 2019.
Carpet Cleaning Score:
Wyze - 72
Shark - 83
Airflow Scores:
Wyze - 17.5 cfm
Shark - 20 cfm
Mapping:
Wyze - LiDAR
Shark - VSLAM
The biggest deciding factor is: "Do you feel comfortable with a refurbished model?" Next, I would personally compare VSLAM to LiDAR. Both can be good, but LiDAR vacuums can be used at night or in low light areas. VSLAM relies on cameras and struggles in low light. VSLAM also tends to not be as accurate at placing the vacuum in a mapped space; therefore, it may not cover as well or get stuck more often.
If you are ok with refurbished and VSLAM, go with the Shark. It seems to pick up dirt better, and it has a self emptying bin. If you would prefer new and LiDAR, go with the Wyze vacuum.

Unless you really want the bin, Wyze wins in all aspect. LiDAR vs camera is a sky vs ground
