From what I read from other posts, this version need to be recharged every 3 months. Non-wifi version runs about a year withou replacing batteries but when you replace, you have to set up all the passcodes and finger prints again from scratch.

Interesting…. Why would the bridge mode be better?

I suppose if you want nickel finish. Maybe an argument could be made that without the WiFi built into the lock itself, that battery would last longer than the WiFi one.

But the idea that I could lock the door when open made it a deal breaker for me. And yes, the battery is down to 30% after 1 month with the front door being used 2-3 times per day.

So it has a way to detect if the door is open or closed like AUGUST but there's no way to see that via the app?
